His combinations are just as fast as Mayweather's, if not even faster. Mayweather might be quicker with single shots.

I thought Mayweather would have beaten him, but I do think Pac had the strongest chance to win out of everyone around Mayweather's weight. He's not as accurate as Mayweather, but he had handspeed, footspeed, combination punching, stamina, mental strength, physical toughness, power in both hands, experience against top fighters, as well as being a southpaw. That's a pretty dangerous package. Marquez is the only guy who has been able to beat him in seven years of activity. (If you ignore the decision in the Bradley fight, as most do.)

I think he would have at least made the fight interesting, even if I see Mayweather winning the decision.

Yeah you're right. Pac isnt as fast as Floyd because he's faster. In hand and foot.

As well as being a volume puncher, he's also a dynamic puncher, a power puncher, and a speedy puncher. And Pacquiao is in no way predictable. That's overly dumb dumb talk. Marquez had 3 fights (36rds) to learn Pac's style. No one else has been able to because the dude will power punch you from any angle, at any time, and with either hand. This is what makes him a threat to his potential opponents' health. But Floyd's about to fight a true volume puncher in ATG Amir Khan.

PAC can beat floyd because he's a strong fast south paw with an excellent straight left, and huge stamina and work rate- and iron chin

Hearns would beat floyd easy because of his natural advantages- jab, power punching ability

Paul Williams would beat floyd on work rate and power, iron chinned and excepts abilities

Old ass Mosley put floyd on ***** Street when Shane was shot to bits. I can't imagine hw badly prime Shane hurts floyd

Floyds chin is suspect, no doubt, a Judah jab dropped him
Shane had him, but couldn't pull the trigger
Floyd has hidden his china well with his copy- James toney- defense
But a straight left from pacman and floyd is out cold

That chin is worse than khans

Just goes to show how defense can hide the weakest chin

Judah ( who has Paulie levels of power himself) drops prime floyd with a zero power shot

if rigo was his size ,he would have the best chance, but it would be a chess match with not a lot of punches.ward too would give him a great deal of trouble if he were the same size. people who want to win at all costs and have the skill to adapt. noone around is good enough right now though so he goes undefeated.

The guy was off balanced you stupid motherfcuking troll, he wasn't hurt. If he was hurt he would have gone down and stayed down. You're so irrational when discussing PBF that you can't be taken seriously. I mean where in that clip does it show that PBF was the slightest bit hurt? I mean do you like to make **** up just to be heard? Trolls like you should be banned for the sake of the forum.

When will idiots like you realize that volume punching means nothing when you're in with a guy who's not there to be hit and also counter the fcuk outta you? Everyone who fights PBF has career low workrate and connect %. Pac's volume would be cut in half and so would his connect %. The fight would turn into a boxing match a bxoing match that Pac has no chance in hell of outbxoing PBF in.:deal PBF wouldn't lose anymore than 3 rounds to Pac. Offense sells tickets but defense wins championships.:deal PBF is a stylistic nightmare for Pac and beats any version of him.

I wish people would stop applying this phrase to boxing...hell, I love defensive fighters, and I tend to prefer them to offensive fighters, but we don't need to throw around generalisations like this. Most people think that the greatest fighter of all time was Ray Robinson, and he was more of an offensive fighter. Ray Leonard wasn't a defensive specialist either. There are plenty of all time greats that didn't rely on defence.

Why should I? In PBF's case it's more than true. Guys can't hit PBF with anything of note and it's a big reason why he's successful. Defense is always overlooked in boxing and some of the best boxers historically have had excellent defense. Most casuals and some boxing fans don't appreciate it or know how important it is they think power and offense is everything but then wonder why when their favorite boxer gets into the ring with PBF he looks lost and can't hit him with radar.

I agree with all of that. I just disagree with throwing out that phrase when it comes to boxing. The sport is more complicated than that statement indicates.

What types of fighters has floyd fought before?, and more important are there certain types that he hasnt? There is a certain build and fighter style that he hasnt encountered or at least we've not seen in his professional career, and that is, a shorter offensive southpaw who doesnt play at fencing (I'm pointing at the dynamically different play between him and someone like pacquiao) A sugar ray leonard might also be his doom.

This is correct. But if you fought like the guy the whole Mayweather clan was scared of, you might be able to beat him and that is if Floyd would have the balls to fight you! :yep
