    DOESN'T EVERY FIGHTER :patsch

Damn, Wlad has the power to make supposedly grown adults make the most idiotic comments.

So Wilder is your big hope :think Why am I not surprised :-(

Had a talk with a buddy at the gym today... what i Think would be good for us would be that, like 30% of the "sum total" the fighters agree upon should be put aside and a vote from the Viewers should decide who gets it based on who MADE or TRIED most of the fight..... A higher percentage could guarantee more trying and less tying..... what U Think?

I didn't think it was that bad. Rough and tumble fight. Not much boxing on show. Povetkin coming forward like a bull, but not really trying to put punches together and Wladimir being allowed to tie him up a bit too much. But still: knockdowns, tension, a game opponent and a champion.

There is no defending Wladimir's tactics in this fight. I too am a huge fan but this was a disgraceful performance from him. He deserves every bit of criticism he gets for this.
All he had to do was fight tall, jab the guy, follow up with the right hand and he would have likely got the KO eventually.
    Horrible, horrible "performance"!

He won ugly for sure, the last four fights he hasn't clinched like that but it was back to the Haye game plan , although he should have got Povetkin out of there.

some amount of B level bums entering the press conference now trying to get their mitts on the vacant WBA "regular" title, in the hope they can bullsh*t folks into thinking they are an actual world champ

Wlad is so much superior to Povetkin. He anticipates every movement of the Povetkin. I don't know why he could not put away Povetkin in two rounds. Perhaps the problem is in mentality. It was obvious to me Wlad wanted to finish business after 6th round but for this matter or the other just couldn't.

This fight was an EPIC FAIL in every way possible. I scored it for Klitschko, 10-2 rounds, 117-106 points, giving Povetkin rounds 4 and 5, only because in those rounds he was the one moving forward, and I thought was a little more active, whereas Klitschko didn't counter with much in those rounds. Povetkin is PATHETIC, he's SUPPOSED to be skilled, but he fought this EXACT same way in the Huck fight, lunging his way in with his head ducked, not even punching his way in!!! I was SCREAMING for Klitschko to step back and fire uppercuts into Povetkin's ducking face, but instead he took easy way out by holding at EVERY opportunity. He landed some single shots here and there, but OMG ZERO body shots, probably ZERO uppercuts, and about 500 holds!!! PATHETIC!!! Pabon was a HORRIFICALLY WEAK referee, he is AWFUL at his job, and should NEVER referee a pro boxing match again!!! The ONLY people who come out of this fight with ANY credit are the three judges, who SHOCKINGLY turned in legitimate, identical scorecards!!! Well done them!!! I now await the news that Klitschko has "mysteriously" failed his postfight drug test.

or at least gone after him as aggressively as he did in the 6th in the rounds that followed. He could have got him out of there mid fight if he just threw some damn combinations, he would barely commit with his jab most the time.

    That was painful to watch.

The pattern seemed to be: throw a punch. Lunge in. Hug and hold. Rinse and repeat.

It is surely testament to the weakness of the current HW division that someone has ruled for so long principally based upon their athletic prowess and physical stature - rather than their power, speed, or boxing skills.

He may have the second longest HW reign but, despite that, he is surely no great...

    :deal

This will probably be the last time I watch a Wladimir Klitschko fight. The heavyweight division is in shambles. :verysad
