Another close fight. One thing is for sure, May ends up looking pizza faced again.:smoke Cotton way better thank stinkelo:hey
Oh, I'd sure as hell watch it, but unless Cotto shows something more exceptional than last night (though tbf, I'd gone for the late round KO) I wouldn't expect a different result 'gainst Floyd The Trout rematch or 'Nelo both work for me and there's also been a Maravilla fight touted at 160, which I'd love to see (though am uneasy about in principle).
First of all, can it happpen now that Cotto is with TR? Secondly, Cotto is being trained by Roach, so he gets KOed because he will be too offensive minded and not focusing enough on defense.
Floyd wins this one again and in more dominant fashion. I'd like to see Cotto avenge his loss to Trout or face Canelo.
would defo watch a rematch of may v cotto now that roach is in cotto's corner , could be closer this time round
I myself question the Cotto scorecards as well and feel they did not reflect what really happened on that night. The fight was very competitive and I felt the broadcast did a horrible and bias job IMO. I still had Floyd winning, but if you look at the scorecards from Canelo, Roberts, and then Cottos you know something just doesn't click or seem right.
I had Cotto winning 4-5 as well. Floyd won the fight by landing more accurate shots and hurting Cotto in the 12, but Cotto was giving Floyd the business. His shots weren't as accurate but they were getting to Floyd, Floyd's bloody nose is what you need to know about Cotto. Floyd is better, but IMO Cotto will be the only guy who got closest to Floyd next to Castillo.
A win against Trout or Canelo would be the only way he gets the rematch with. Floyd as a previous post stated ..
Would be even more one sided than their previous bout together. With Floyd going back to having his father employ a more defensive style and the fact that he's fighting much more regularly than he had since 2007, and I don't think Cotto makes the final bell. He lunges in too much with his punches, his defense is average at best and he doesn't possess that miracle one punch KO power that would be needed to have a shot with FLoyd. He'll pressure Mayweather all night and attempt to cut off the ring and push him onto the ropes, and I don't think he'll be successful at any of those things. He'll gas out by the latter rounds and get tattooed by counterpunches he won't see coming.
