Now it seems like Helenius is officially done. He said he will continue his career and still wants to be a world champ but... I have a feeling that he is on his way to retirement. Father of three children...

Sauerland wasn't exactly taking him places. Maybe it will turn out to have been a good move in hindsight. :conf

Wow, that's big news. Seems he won't be getting near any title shots then.

It seems like Sauerland isn't too happy with this situation claiming that they put so much money on Helenius and Helenius says he wasn't happy how Sauerland was handling his career. It seems like there could be some conflicts between these two.

Roberts father Karl Helenius is his new trainer :!:

So, can we say that Helenius is done? There is no money or leverage in Finland, so he wont be making any moves from here. Is this retirement? This is a really stupid move. Undefeated (lost to chisora) and 29 years old. What a waste.......

Helenius has had serious trouble maintaining his interest for boxing, he was interested when he was on his winning streak, but Chisora blew it for him by beating him from pillar to post.

The same was the case in the amateur days, he was a good amateur when he was motivated, but more often than not you'd find him not interested.

Robert Helenius is trying to get rid of his Sauerland deal. If that is no possible he is not fighting until year 2015. If he can get rid of Sauerland he might be fighting next year 2014 Mars-April. Helenius is not training with Ulli Wegner no more. Bad news all together.

Wegner is a **** trainer, he tries to train every fighter in the same style which doesn't work.

I do agree. Mistake of mine. All his boxers started loosing. But in the end what is the alternative. His father - is he better? The only good thing about him training Robert, is that at least he seems to be the one (of the few) who still believe in him. It seems like it´s Karl Helenius egotripping. He is well known for his cross-grained personality. Maybe there is loads of Russian money behind this decision, ´cos there is no money in boxing in Finland.

Too for for Helenius. Would have liked to see him in a big fight one day, looks like this won't be happening anytime soon.
