He's saying all the ATG's in boxing made their pro debuts against cab drivers/ bums which is correct.
Didn't see the fight, but when is the last time a fighter made his pro debut against an opponent of that caliber?
You said and I quote "name another atg who fought someone of that caliber in their first pro-fight". Now tell me that doesn't sound like you're saying Loma is an ATG. Who cares what anyone else has done. He had an impressive debut against a fairly decent fighter. Hopefully his career blossoms and he fulfills all his potential, but people are getting far to worked up over this.
In retrospect though as Mendoze had 1 fight at the time, same goes for Bey and Carbajal. Apostoli, Payakaroon, Maskaev are some of the best against established pros.
You don't know enough about boxing history and all the ATG's to jump to this conclusion. And since Vasyl isn't an ATG the question is irrelevant. A better question would be has ANY fighter started their career against a better fighter?
Instead of making a blanket statement why don't you provide a list of the 100 best p4p fighters in history and who they debuted against?
He doesn't want to pay attention, he wants to feed an illusion that has yet to be proven. Pete Radamacher challenged for the heavyweight title in his debut.....big deal. Its not who you debut against, its your entire body of work that defines you.
I am paying attention. 39-14 is quite good. But, Jab never answered the question. But, I'll research that..in time. I have no illusions, but people like Jabber there are quick to dismiss an otherwise excellent debut.
