Haha, that was my line. Apologies for calling you a fanny anyway, I had been on the loopyjuice and just find all the unwarranted negativity on here these days a bit ridiculous. As for Hughie, the lad's just turned 19 and has done nowt bloody wrong! Peace

I am not impressed with the matchmaking of Hughie Fury, although I am impressed with how often he is fighting.

Hughie supporters will spout he is getting much needed rounds, however in my view he should be stopping a lot of his opponents.

Very interested how he will develop when he has a genuine step up in class, because despite the sh it PR he would it simply hasnt happened.

Hughie's opponents in 11 fights have a combined 164 losses.

    That is incredible.

He's a kid and these guys are just what he needs. What do people realistically expect?

The PR spin from his training team and promoter have promised a lot more high level opponents but yet failed to deliver them.

In addition if you also listen to the bullsh it he is going to be the youngest world heavyweight champion ever, so if you then put into perspective the class of opponents he is facing and also the quality of performances then there is plenty to criticise.

They called out Tony Thompson ffs. They are their own worst enemies.

As it stands, Hughie is a failure.

Lmao this thread is another good one isnt it, people judging a young up and coming heavy based on a bit of PR and not the reality of the situation.

PR is to create a 'Public relationship' which they have done quite succesfully in getting his name recognised.

He is a novice heavy and been brought along slowly, so what.

Still, gives people something to whinge about i suppose

Welcome to boxing especially HW boxing....young HW fighter unbeaten surrounded by hype.

He is active & learning all the time at 19 years old calling unrealistic opponents out ditto my first sentence all part of the PR game.

So someone starts a thread on Baby Hughie's "speed of development" and his supporters get all bent out of shape when some posters actually discuss the level of his opposition?

Is the only legitimate answer in any discussion of Hughie "He's a mere lad of 11 years old, he hasn't started shaving yet"? Can we not just forget about that and discuss him as a boxer? Or, if that's the case, can we make a rule not to mention him at all until he's at least 25?

Is it a crime to point out, since the OP wanted a comparison with David Price's speed of development, that Price fought a useful journeyman (Rafael Butler) in his 10th fight and Tom Dallas (then undefeated) in his 11th, while Hughie is fighting guys with undetectable pulses at the same point in his career?

(If your answer has anything to do with Baby Hughie's age, I withdraw the question.)

Price is a lot better than Hughie fury, I still believe he can be a world champ. I was suprized to see hughies opponent for his next fight a little bit of a step down, he needs to get in shape add to the power department and step it up massively if he wants to beat mike tysons record of youngest ever heavyweight world champion, witch he isn't going to beat now with the opponents he has faced. Hughie should just step it up gradually because he is not going to get the record so just step it up gradually but he needs to be taking slight steps forward every fight witch he is not doing. but he is so young so has plenty of time to develop, he is still in my opinion 10 years away from prime but he needs to start knocking this level of opponent out so not to take to much head punishment and brain damage.
