Where do you rank Wladimir Klitschko among the all-time great heavyweights?

There's an older version of this thread from a couple of years ago, but as Wladimir Klitschko keeps adding wins, I thought it would be a good time to make a current version.

    great debating point here...
top class boxer with speed and power, but had to alter his style because of his chin
vulnerable, but near on impossible to beat at his own game if you cant get to him

I rank the all time greats, not on their accomplishments, how exciting they were or how popular. But would they be able to beat the rest.

Yep, Wlad would. Prime Klitschko would be able to beat all of the other top heavyweights which I would put him #1. Some people view the past eras of heavyweight boxing through rose tinted glasses and refuse to give Klitschko credit. Others let blatant zenophobia get in the way of acknowledging his skills. Others refuse to rate him because his style is very boring, even though it is effective.

But, would some of the other ATG's such as Ali be able to beat Klitschko? Nope, other than possibly Lewis (who is my #2), I don't think they'd stand a chance.

wlad is overrated. even though he did better than i thought he would in haye fight, haye didnt take enough risks after round 4.

povetkin fight was awful. his chin is AWFUL.

Top 5 easy. Look at number of title defenses, longevity, longest reign.

You cant do this. Boxing experts, being imperfect, are very often wrong about fights. You cant use that same imperfection to rank fighters. It will fail in real life.

Only thing you can rank on is achievements, which is something you cannot be wrong about. Wlad will rank around 5 - 10 I think, but maybe higher after time passes. Things always look better in hindsight.
