Where do you rank Wladimir Klitschko among the all-time great heavyweights?

No. He tried that, but was so weight-drained and weak he was helpless in that one fight.

Wladimir and Deontay both fought in the "under 200" category for most of their respective amateur careers, but they'd be making a bad mistake to drain down to cruiserweight now.

My thoughts too. He would give any guy that's comfortable on the outside fits.

However, I thing guys like Jack Johnson, Jack Dempsey, Mike Tyson, Joe Frazier, and perhaps even Rocky Marciano, knock him into next week.

    Top 5 easy.

Only people that would give him nightmares are incredibly heavyhanded guys that weren't afraid to rough it up/foul and had rock solid chin.

Mccall, Lennox, Ibeabuchi, guys like that.

you clearly never boxed a day in your life if you think Marciano or Johnson would knock Wlad out, as the only time you truly appreciate how much difference size and power makes is when you're in the ring yourself, against a guy with longer arms and higher firepower.

Dempsey would be KO'd cold. Johnson too. Frazer fight would be incredibly interesting and could go either way, but definitely no knockout. Mike Tyson, it's just such a beat up corpse of a horse that I don't even want to bring it up.

You obviously don't know **** about boxing because Dempsey and Johnson both beat a more durable guy in a 12 round fight (that is) who's just as big as Wlad and fights in a similar style in Jess Williard.

And you also don't know **** about styles because you don't see what they are doing in the ring.

I'm not about to explain it to you though because if you really box, you'll get your ass whupped enough times to realize there are ways to counteract that style.

Apparently it's not working though because you're still getting your ass whupped every day.

Marciano may not have the foot speed to get to Klitschko, but if he manages to slip Klitschko's jab Consistantly, I have no doubt that those bombs he throws has enough power to shatter Klitschko's glass jaw.

Dempsey ABSOLUTELY has the foot speed, the hand speed, the torso speed, and the power to shatter Klitschko's glass jaw in a million pieces.

Jack Johnson would dice Klitschko up. I watched him against Williard and I can absolutely see where his style would be the right one to wreck Wlad.

Wlad lacks any real Boxing skills apart from his jab and right hand. He actually doesn't have any form of defense except clinching. He doesn't box and he doesn't brawl. He jabs and grabs. He's horrible. Just a big puncher who's developed an effective style. All this talk about him being top 10 is unreal. Be real and put it into context. He's beating bums.

couldnt agree more, peril obv doesn't know **** about boxing ( roger voice)

wlad panics when he gets on the inside and i have no doubt he would get knocked out by many ATG heavyweights.

how can you be an ATG if you cant even fight inside?

I stand by my previous assertion. You're basing the "argument", which is really just your misguided opinion, on flawed logic. Dempsey and Marciano beat up a tall guy, who could take a shot, thus they will destroy Klitschko, a tall guy who can't take a shot.

Now re-read the folowing a few times, because you seem a bit slow: Klitschko is not some run off the mill giant with no footwork and no coordination, as has been the case throughout history.

ALL BIG MEN UP UNTIL THAT POINT WERE NOT FAST ENOUGH/ATHLETIC ENOUGH/HAD QUICK ENOUGH REFLEXES.

Ali was a giant at 6'4, and he had solid relfexes,a good punch and amazingly light feet: as a result, he is considered the best of all time.

Lennox was a giant at 6'5 and light on his feet, with tremendous firepower. As a result, easily a top 3 of all time heavyweight.

And now Klitschko, the follower of those fine men, at 6'6, with the heaviest punch in the division, amazing speed and footwork (His hand speed is down right ludicrous for someone his size) and enough experience for 5 heavyweights. He is not a tall heavy bum, whose advantages can easily be counteracted in the ring, which is what you're assuming. Nor does he have a glass jaw, as the multiple idiots here tend to think. You need a few solid, clean shots, to get him down and out, and with his tactics, his footwork and the stopping power of his jab, you may never get a chance to land those shots, especially if you have to throw them 8 inches above your head and if your arms are so damn short.

PS: from personal experience, I know that the only way to beat a tall man is to throw combinations body/head/body. Head hunting will never work against guys like that, not unless they are BUMS. You can attribute that to the fact that I followed boxing since 2001, or to the fact that I myself still box, but for your own sake, stop pretending like you know what you are talking about. The guys of the past would get slaughtered by both Kbros, it's just a different league. It doesn't matter how quick you are at drawing your 6-shooter, a sniper rifle will still put a hole in your skull.

You should emulate roger, your iq seems to be on par with his.

It doesn't matter how good you are on the inside. If the guy can tie you down and hang his 240 lb frame on you round after round, that inside game is not going to help you.

I'd love to see Wlad vs Tyson of 1988. It would be a great test of how well a tiny heavyweight with amazing inside work can deal with the hug of death followed by the long distance bombs.
