Also, 6'3 Thomas had some success with tying down Tyson in Round 2 of their fight.

And what happened at the end of the fifth round when Rooney told Tyson to wake up?

    Thomas went to sleep

I dont get this Fighter A/B/C 'had some success against Tyson' approach from Klittards and then ignoring the utter KO loss after that 'some success'. How is it 'some success' to get brutally ripped into peices? The law of averages dictates that even a keyboard warrior Klittard could land a punch with 'some success' on tyson before he brutally got KOed.

Is this the same Klittard theory that Vitali had 'some success' with hitting lennox before getting brutally ripped apart and stopped?

If it is then I can understand the delusion.

Exactly. They were gifted, athletic boxers who knew how to fight. Not clumsy and slow like klits. Klits wouldn't be rated in top 5 in the 90s heavyweights, possibly not even top 10.

Bonecrusher smith was a total bum, he got beat by nobodies well before the Tyson fight.

    He had a glass jaw.

And still, he went the full 12 rounds with a prime Tyson, and even managed to rock Tyson in the twelve.

All of this, just because of size advantage and because he wasn't intimidated.

This is an issue of going the distance with Mike. You had a chance to go 12 with mike if you did/had $
    FOUR things
    1. BE TALL
    2. GET OFF FIRST
    3. CLINCH
    4. JAB!!!!
If you look at all of Mikes Fights. If you were tall and kept a jab in his face, he would have troubles and you had a chance to go deep into the fight. Fight was always looking to load up and land bombs. He had to set his feet to do it and he had to sit down on them just to throw em. keeping a simple jab in his face kept him uncomfortable with his feet before he threw. Mike dominated Bone but through out the fight Bone got off first and clinched immediately.

He also beat some good names as well. Witherspoon, Bruno, Mike Weaver and was WBA champion when he fought Tyson. If being a title holder and beating former title holders and future title holders is the resume of a bum then everyone's a bum.

The reason he went 12 rounds with Tyson is because he was looking to survive. If he wasn't intimidated why did he hold so much he didn't do it in other fights. People held Tyson not because it alone was a winning strategy they did it not to get knocked the **** out.

The Tyson myth gets more foolish by the month. He was KOed by absolute cans. His chin was nowhere near solid. A terrible Buster Douglas put him to sleep in his prime. Holyfield destroyed him twice in his prime.

No different than the Brittards that tell us "Haye didn't do that bad against Wlad" or that "Chisora gave Vitali his toughest fight since Lewis" when the guy won 2 rounds :rofl
