Diaz is circling to his right and catching Santiago's long uppercut on his bunched-together elbows. Counter left hooks to the body and right hands up top by Diaz over Santiago's jab. Santiago is sniping with jabs on the outside, falling in and putting straight combos in with a deep knee lunge. Diaz is exploiting his lack of height in these vulnerable moments with flurries to the head. Time out, gum shield of Santiago replaced. Flurry by Santiago stepping in.

Diaz is jumping around Santiago and putting together series of several jabs in a row, then several hooks - the former tapping a rhythm on Santiago's face and the latter cuffing the back of his head. Santiago is spinning and looking to stick Diaz with the jab to keep him still, but Diaz is giving him too much foot and upper body movement, diving to his side and then coming up with jabs and hooks.

Diaz jabs the face, hooks the body, and then takes multiple shuffling steps in reverse, pushing off the ball of his lead foot. Santiago bowls in a right to Diaz's body from outside but gets countered with a 1-2. Diaz bounces around, rolling his head under Santiago's jab and positioning himself to calmly triple his jab up into Santiago's face while he is still turning to face up. Diaz is snapping the left jab hard into Santiago's chin while circling to his left. Diaz ducks a 1-2, then comes up and lands his own. Santiago flurries into the back of Diaz's head as Diaz bows forward.

Diaz lands a hard triple hook to the body, doubling Santiago over. Diaz reaches up and drops a teardrop right hand into the left ear of Santiago while he is still folded in half. HARD overhand right by Diaz bursting free of a flurrying lean-in attempt by Santiago. Desperate jabs and looping rights to the face by Santiago, creating distance to land as Diaz tries to duck. They step together and Diaz hooks Santiago in the side of the head. Santiago pumps uppercuts into Diaz's stomach and Diaz responds with a powerful left hook and overhand right to the face, jarring Santiago. Hard combination on the inside by Diaz, cracking Santiago on the face some more. Santiago steps in and flurries and Diaz briefly ties up for a rest, then pushes apart to rip some more big hooks onto Santiago's head.

Round 10

Diaz is slamming the left hook into Santiago's jaw and sending him nearly tumbling ass over tea kettle into the ropes. Santiago is somehow able to get his feet to beat the canvas rapidly and well-timed enough to stay upright, and even has the presence of the mind to shift away from the ropes. BIG left hook by Diaz stepping in, having to reach and only barely catching Santiago's lofty chin, sometimes missing it. Santiago is using that height to stay off some of Diaz's punches, but lacks the foot speed to stay completely unharmed. Diaz is jumping in and twisting himself into big hooks to the body. Jab to the mouth by Diaz. Santiago tosses a lead right and ducks in with his gloves covering his face, flurrying the body when close.
