Tony Thompson wants to fight Deontay Wilder

Wilder has already refused to fight Thompson. He will always run from Thompson..............

 

it would be interesting, especially if Thompson lands a big right..

 

Actually, Thompson is a worse matchup for Wilder than Wilder is for Thompson. The only wrinkle that Deontay brings to the table is his rare physical gifts.
That said, Wilder needs to get a little more experience before tangling with confident, seasoned technicians who also happen to be consummate professionals.

Wilder does not need to fight to get a title...........It appears that the plans for Wilder is to GIVE him a title after Vitali retires. Wilder is ranked #3 WBC, #6 WBA, and #12 IBF. How did he get ranked by refusing to fight anyone ranked? After all the fights he has already had, when will be fight someone who can fight? Wilder will never fight anyone, he is protected. Boxing is crooked! Wilder could not beat Wach, Jennings, Thompson, Arreola, Stiverne, etc. Vlad has mentioned fighting Wilder as soon as possible.

I'm all for the Thompson fight, can't see Wilder taking it, but it'd be a good step up for him to say the least and good on Widler if he prevails. Quite a step up from the level he has faced, though, so can't see his team taking it.

Any genuine prospect who is good enough to cut it at World level should be beating guys like Thompson without too much trouble. The guy is 42 years old FFS and never done anything of any real note other than give Wlad a somewhat competitive fight for a few rounds before getting knocked out.
