Maciel is catching jabs and responding with pairs of uppercuts moving in. Hard double uppercut piercing at chest level followed by a left hook downstairs by Maciel. Rose is backed up by a high Maciel jab, grazing his brow. Double jab, right hand by Rose. Maciel covers up and takes most of it on the glove. Overhand rights up top and left hooks to the body by Maciel. Big combos by Maciel, fours and fives traversing up and down Rose's sides. Rose is waiting on the outside. Rose tosses out a 1-2, ducked. Maciel comes in low with body shots and they briefly clinch and push apart. Hooks and right hands to the body by Maciel, squatting and pressing in. Big triple uppercut by Maciel, alternating hands. Rose ties up. Stiff jab up top, right hand curled into the side by Maciel.

Round 3

Maciel is feeding Rose high jabs, aiming for the bridge of his nose and just catching the tip as Rose backs up and waves his fists in the way. Big body shots by Maciel. Rose is hurt. HOOKS AND OVERHANDS! Uppercut by Maciel snapping Rose's head back. Big body shot by Maciel. Jab and slapping overhand by Maciel as they circle in close. Rose is weathering the storm, wrapping his skull in leather and ducking low before moving. Combos from Maciel, putting together hooks on the abdomen with clapping woodchopper rights on the temple of Rose. Nice counter 1-2 by Rose after ducking a jab and firing from a low bend. Counter jab by Rose. The crowd likes it. Maciel changes his angle, coming in with a hook. Another counter jab by Rose. Maciel rethinks. Diving rights to the body by Maciel. Clinch. Double jab pumped in the air by Rose.

Round 4

Maciel is throwing hard corkscrew rights into Rose's body and then bringing hooks up to his face. Aggressive start. Rose veers by the ropes and then swivels to back out to center ring. Maciel keeps up the attack but it hitting lots of arm. Counter left hook by Rose. Double uppercut by Maciel, climbing up to Rose's chin from the basement and bypassing his guard. Counter right hand by Rose as Maciel lobs underhanded power shots to the body. Rose's guard is beginning to split a little at the bottom, elbows widening and lowering to protect his body. Maciel is leading with overhands, crashing into Rose's gloves. Jabs by Rose on the back foot, doing nothing to slow Maciel. Rose is hurt by a looping right and left hook. Rose pushes Maciel off with a 1-2. Another long 1-2 by Rose as Maciel gives him space. Slapping hooks by Maciel as they press together.
