Who on earth came up with that! feels like there trying to force people to like him and its cringworthy!

I like joshua but little things like that could have the opposite effect as its meant to have its putting me off already

Yeah I really don't like it

You can't tell "the people" that Joshua is going to be "the people's champion" it just sounds ridiculous!

Nicknames change all the time. Riddick Bowe was briefly "Batman" Bowe before they finally settled on Big Daddy.

Joshua will end up with something better than future people's chamo

lol first time i heard it it annoyed me now it just makes me laugh they're forcing him way too much if he turns out like an Audley then they'll have egg on their faces...

as for his performance tonight he looked so much better than his first fight, a lot more composed and picked his shots and actually kept his chin tucked in. Well Done

Glad ive got tickets to see him live on Prizefighter hope its a step up for him and they are doing a good job in getting him out so quickly again.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I really hope they don't make a habit of calling him him this.

He should be called something like "Anthony Joshua", it has a ring about it

Despite the ridiculous of how Joshua got to the position he's in (very talented amateur who done well at the World Championships but shouldn't possess an Olympic medal), I'm started to warm to him a little with a good performance like that.

However nicknames like that make you want him to never be a champion of any kind. You can't force people to like someone.....although to be fair Sky's propaganda and hype train come pretty close. They really should find a better nickname.
