Only saw about ten seconds of it as i was working all i noticed was that he looked in great shape and thought ''he should def stay at super middle'' anyway how did he look?
I thought it was a good performance, it was good for him to get some rounds in and Acosta came to have a go, most of the punches Acosta threw were took on the gloves but the few he did get through with Smith took well. Having said that Acosta was never going to have the power to hurt Smith but he was very durable, Smith was throwing quality, powerful shots to the body from round 1 and they were always going to take effect eventually so I wasn't at all surprised the fight ended with a great body shot. Smith's offense, power and control of the centre of the ring all look excellent. Ofcourse it's still early days and I'm looking forward to seeing how Callum reacts when he gets hit by somebody who can really bang, overall a good outing and important that he got some rounds under his belt. Really quite excited about him but time will tell :good
wasn't the first round ko i expected but still awesome some thing special picks them shots will learn with every fight big things to come
Looked good again picked his shots well some spiteful body shots & didn't rush just waited for the openings impressive.
Really think this lad has a he'll of a lot of potential. Good performance against a very experienced fighter who's been in with some great opposition.
He keeps saying he can drop down to 160. To me he doesn't need to, he looks right at home at 168. Think it might be in his head so that all 4 brothers can hold the British title.
Hearn and Gallagher on separate interviews are talking about the full WBC belt this time next year. He will be out once more before Xmas
You would think 175 would be more logical given his height. Ajisafe/Francis would be a far easier fight on paper as well
