It is just getting to be normal for the judges to cheat good fighters because of a fighter's promoter. How can it be stopped? Something has to be done about it!

Punish them for bad scoring. Make them feel the weight of a crooked decision and revoke their licenses - first temporarily and in case it happens again indefinitely.

Wonder if a petition by boxing fans could help? There should be an investigation.............

Boxing is big business and that means dishonesty will rule!

Enjoy the fights and judge them yourself!

the commision needs to sit down with the fighter and watch the fight and have them justify how there scorecard is so differant from every other persons card. not enough credible evidence your card is correct then you should not be judging a fight .. especially as a profession...

I recon it'd require some sort of private investigation to expose a judge/commission/promoter as being crooked. It'd then need massive hype by the media, followed up by some serious legal/financial consequences for those exposed.

Mayweather might be able to do something with him being such a colossal boxing icon. Could start by publically slandering the governing bodies (WBO, WBA etc) and refusing to pay sanctioning fees like he did against Mosley (basically just expose them to casuals as being meaningless).

Only other thing I could think of is if we all stopped buying fights and if the braodcasters were able to distinguish it's because we don't like the judging.

Get rid of them. Make the ref the judge but here are the rules.

    Knockdowns are worth two points

Enforce clean fighting, 1/2 point lost for each violation, no warnings.

Review fights afterward, make adjustments if need be (calling a slip a knockdown for example).

That's it. If no knockdowns or fouls occur... no winner, no loser. The fans still see the fight, they'll (us) will know who really won. It might screw up betting but I'm sure they will find a way to determine a winner... maybe like the old newspaper decisions.

If you produce a bad scorecard, you don't score another fight until you've undergone more training. They should then score fights at ringside in an unofficial capacity and present their scorecards to their superiors. Once they've proven that they're up to the task, they're put in charge of fights again.

How many bad cards do you think are corrupt and how many are just bad scoring

I just ask this because people are so fast to scream foul but to be honest its a job they are human, there are lots of variables

Im not going to defend a bad call but we have the luxury of replays stats all angles commentary that tells us things that we might have missed slow mo

look at a judge, he/she sits in one spot has to make the decision on the spot, there is lots of pressure to get it right

i mean we all have a bad day at work here and there, or do you think they gotta be paid off

Simply ban the incompetent/corrupt judges from any further judging. If they weren't corrupt but simply bad scorers, well that means they aren't good enough.

Use 4 or 5 judges and keep the three scores that are most similar.

I was just thinking about how they judge the sport of Diving. Diving meets must be scored using a minimum of three judges, but can be scored using as many as nine judges.

When more than three judges are used, the highest and the lowest scores awarded are dropped.

Because of the subjectivity involved in judging, it is advisable to have more than three judges involved in a contest. This helps to eliminate any bias that one or more judges might have and give an accurate representation of dive.:good
