Let's Analyze Zab Judah vs Paulie Malignaggi

This fight will not be entertaining to the casual.

Neither fighter likes to go forward so we will see a lot of feinting and posturing. I think Paulie's jab will be key.

 

I think if Zab fights with a bit of passion he can pull it off but if it turns out to be a point scoring competition then like the poster above said, Paulie's jab (along with some elusive footwork) might be the difference. I definitely think Zab can get it done but it remains to be seen whether it happens or not, I guess he needs more then one fight to shake the unmotivated/unfocused label.

 

Just thinking about it now, I think Paulie UD. I think he'll just outwork Judah. Like the poster above said, with his jab. This fight will mostly be from the outside and probably not be too exciting.

 

I'd love for Paulie to win, but I think Judah will be able to not only keep up with Paulie, but hurt him. It''ll be a close fight, because to Paulie's credit, he always puts forth a great effort, but I see Judah's more telling blows, maybe a KD or 2, being the difference.

 

i think judah will get him outta there. he exactly right paulie doesnt have anything to keep judah from getting off him. judah is gunna bring just like he did when he fought vernon paris. and hes gunna look good doing it. paulie gunna try n jab all night but its not gonna stop judah in his tracks. its not gunna hurt judah so gunna get in there. paulie is a very polished boxer way more then vernon paris will ever dream of but the fight may go down in similar fashion

Apart from The Tszyu fight, when has Zab shown a bad chin?

 

Always thought the match up favours Judah because he has power as well as speed but I think Malignaggi UD's him, Judah will fade whilst Malignaggi's workrate will be high throughout

 

What the fcuk is wrong with Zab's chin? Against Zoo he was up and should have been given a chance to go on. He wasn't KTFO in the least bit.


Against Cotto, he took a LOT of punishment, more than Paulie could think about dishing out, and did pretty well taking it until the stoppage.

I think it will be a decision either way. Paulies chin is alright, I think if broner couldn't take him out I don't think Zab will. Paulie never knocks anyone out. So its gonna be a decision.... But who? Zab won't fall apart because he won't get hit with any big shots in this fight, however Zab has gotten tired in the past and Paulie has a very high work rate and doesn't seem to get tired. I give paulie the edge here. I expect him to throw about 25 more punches than judah per round, throwing about 800 at the end of the fight to zab's 550 or so.

In a tossup I think Malignaggi gets the nod from the judges being more marketable than Zab nowadays.

 

Pulling for pauly in this one, kids got more heart than most.
