You've given names and no valid reasons, someone who never fought a pro bout isn't the best ever.

I agree with u 100% but I know, when u remove hype and cut it down to bare talent that's what matters! even foreman said stevenson was the best he had seen and would have beaten everone of that era, him and savon hold ko wins over guys like tua tyrell shannon Briggs and far more!

Theres a reason stevenson had a contract to fight ali in one fight!!! isn't there, when it comes down to pure technique footwork etc stevenson was a different level to foreman frazier and ali,

Listen son I have been following the sport for over 30 years. Being a great am means **** . . . there have been dozens of great ams who couldnt do **** once they got their head gear off. Like I said I like Rigo but when you start talking this utter trash you are gonna get a backlash. I was only trying to give it to straight kid and be thankful that it was me and not others on here that would give you a major ***** slap.

right now I see Rigo as a top 5 p4p fighter and you are lucky if people feel that he is top 10.

As for Loma , I like him as well but it will take a few more fights to be considered P4P for me as for ATG status for both guys in the AMs maybe but with the big boys, they need a lot more meat on their resume

and we know that talent always wins! I know the list might be controversial some might not agree with it based on stats like stevenson never turned pro but I've cut it down to who are the most talented! not many will understand the sport like I do if any

Amateurs and pros are two different things. It's difficult to compare top pro boxers with top amateur boxers who never turned pro. If pro boxing was based on the tournament style like the amateur boxing with Cubans and Soviets competing, I'm sure that the professional boxing history would look different. Ali is one of the greatest pro boxers and Stevenson is one of the greatest amateur boxers and let's leave it at that.

You don't understand the sport you have never boxed I know it your a stats buff and "Being a great am means **** . . . there have been dozens of great ams who couldnt do **** once they got their head gear off" probably the most ignorant thing i have ever read on this board there is no difference boxing is boxing ams train with pros all the time, and currently there is no headgear in the amateurs. I know far more than you! I know everything about the sport everything!

LOL, who said I never set foot in the ring . . . fool. So you are saying there is zero difference between ams and pros? be careful how you answer that question because it will only show how naive you are son.

I know you havn't! and no I am not Naive I kno everything about this! skill is skill and talent is talent, guys like selby have an am style arm punching not cubans! I'm gonna leave it at that and let the trolls troll, I thought I would share something but anyway this forum doesn't achieve anything in life so theres no point in it! I'll leave it there

lol, if you say so kid!

let me ask you a question, if you know everything. How do you explain Bhop? a fighter who many think is one of the best ever at MW and the best of this generation but with his style would lose to probably the average amateur today?

You also do not think that the point system in the Ams would not favour a fighter like Breland over a Duran?

Speaking of Duran, how would Rigo do against an elite pressure fighter like the hands of stone? Rigo has been down a few times against far weaker foes and on bambie legs a more often than one cares to count.

My next door neighbour growing up was the MW champ of Canada, I use to spar with his son who won a bronze medal at the Olympics. My dad knew all the great boxers from the area and they use to hang out at my house. I knew Trevor Berbick before he was champ and know his sons to this day. I remember seeing all the fighters you talked about live when I was a kid. Of all the boxer I knew over the years you are the only one EVER that has said that there is no difference between the ams and the pros

For someone who confesses to know everything YDKSAB:deal

Lol at this.....by that logic, sadahara oh is the greatest baseball player ever, even though he didn't play at the highest level, MLB. He is the greatest japanese player and that is where it ends. A guy who dominates the league playing for the bristol rovers isn't the best unless he does it at the highest level, the top flight. The greatest CFL player isn't the greatest football player because he didn't do it at the top level, the NFL. A lifelong minor league baseball player who smashes all the minors records isn't in the conversation for greatest baseball player because he didn't acheive the pinnacle of the sport, MLB. A multiple time regional bodybuilding champ isn't the best unless he wins the Olympia. A multiple time pan am games gold medalist can never be considered the best until he wins at the Olympics. And so on and so on and so on. Ams and pros are two different worlds...minor and major leagues are far apart. I'm sure it holds true in boxing as well.

Well bhops style is not made for the amateurs, he is not active enough and relies on old school tactics to gain control of a fight over 12 rounds. he would be lucky to get a medal today at the Olympics.

I also see you avoided the questions regarding Rigo son.
