come fight night, fans always play the psychologist in trying to believe their fighter has the edge and the groves fans are out in force again claiming pre fight victories in the studio:lol:

only thing matters is the action in the ring, groves can embaress froch 100x before the fight for all i care, as long as froch destroys him in it i'll be happy :smoke

    I usually doesn't.

the only instance it does is as one fighter is legitimately afraid or intimidated by the other, wich doesn't happen often.
And I can't imagine Froch being intimidated by Grover. The guy fought AA, Ward, Bute and Kessler twice for crying out loud... what's intimidating about Groves then?

the funniest comment i heard was the guy on ringside last night saying groves will take the centre of the ring and trade with froch!

sky are trying so hard to push this as a 50/50 fight, theres a reason hbo didnt want any part of this, its a mismatch and sky are milking this fake grudge for all its worth

Sky comparing it to Eubank-Benn is laughable. If Groves wasn't British no one would give a toss about this fight.

Why is it laughable? Eubank had fought nobody of note until Benn

I do feel Groves appeared more collected and composed in this one instance, however I agree with the poster in rejecting the supposed psychological one-upmanship that some are imbuing Groves performance with.

froch just wants to slap groves, groves thinks hes winding him up getting in his head.
no froch will bash groves up even more so now. froch has underated skills, not bad jab and that right from a low position is hard too see coming.

Psychology can give fighters an edge. Collins v Eubank is a prime example

I do think the Benn/Eubank comparison is a tad far fetched. It's more like Benn/Watson, and I'll admit that comparison is a stretch.

When you first heard about this fight who did you think would win?

Stick with that thought. All the media hype is bollocks. Only weak minds get influenced by it.

Have a feeling this could be another A farce and Haye show, end up being what we all feared a total mismatch, and then casuals who got sucked in to buying will sit at home cursing that they wasted 15 quid and say boxing is dead, while if they spent just a tenner for the month on Boxnation they certainly wouldn't be regretting it, having this ppv could harm boxing like Haye Harrison did

Kaz,if this is fake they've got me fooled.I thought they were going to go at each other in the studio the other night.Never seen either of them act quite like that before. Some have compared it to Benn and Eubank. The thing is,Benn appeared to hate all his opponents.Michael Watson equally as much as Chris before their fight.I do think SKY are encouraging it though, its got to be good for business. My own feeling is that after a hard fight,FRoch will win late, probably on cuts. But its not sold in stone.Groves is much younger, and unbeaten. One thing I am sure of.There won't be as much animosity after the fight. There never is.
