Do you want GGG vs Ward at 168?

I think it's a dangerous proposition to assume that an inactive Ward coming off of a serious shoulder surgery is going to be the same guy who won the Super 6 and took out Dawson.

He might well be, and if he is, that's a legit P4P talent; but GGG's not the kind of fighter to take on if you're knocking the rust off. I don't see this as a schooling for either man, by any stretch. Not at the level these guys are operating on.

Whilst I would obviously want to see the fight, and do believe triple G has a genuine chance, as of now, I don't see it as a big chance.

What I'd really like to see is Froch vs GGG first. If GGG could beat Carl in convincing fashion, maybe late next year, it'd go a long way towards legitimising a Golovkin - Ward fight for 2015.

Either way, GGGs first priority should be Maravilla, Murray and Barker (or whoever holds the IBF strap at the time).

Scary fight (Froch). I don't think anybody south of 175 has the power to affect Froch in a fight. Golovkin would have to win on shear volume of landed punches and not get caught coming in by cobra right hands.

No rush for this. I'd like to see Golovkin in with Martinez more than anyone. Once that is done, I wouldn't mind a move up to fight Ward. Or even Froch.

Exactly how I see it. Though I'd love to see GGG against Froch or Ward, he's still got unfinished business at middleweight to take care of before moving up is the best option. :good

I think prime for prime, Abraham knocks his ****ing block off. Froch does it currently.

Not yet. Golovkin needs to keeps doing what hes doing and clean out 160. It could be a viable fight down the line in 2 or 3 years though. Right now i think Ward would beat him handily.

If Boone could drop him of course there is the chance that at any point GGG could KO Ward. Ward clearly has the ability to outbox nearly anyone but with that equalising power and accuracy it makes for an interesting fight. Sure it could be like Mayweather V Canelo or Mosley but it could also go like Judah Vs Tszyu

I think he loses badly to Ward, I would rather see him fight Floyd. He would still lose a close UD but it would competitive. Ideally, clean out MW and become the kingpin there.

You forget that the only man to have froch ever Down was a M/W. GGG can hurt and would hurt Froch.

You got the feeling JT seriously hurt Froch in that fight? It's as if Froch was coming back stronger, round after round following the KD.
