I have never particularly liked Froch's style of boxing, however Froch has won me over as a 'fan' of sorts, hopefully therefore I can keep this objective: It is fairly clear watching earlier Froch fights he was faster, had better movement, and very probably stronger. Age unfortunately does that too you.

Froch 3 or 4 years ago would have beaten GGG. He would have soaked up the shots and been able to pressure him. Today however, I think Froch would be foolish to step into the ring with GGG based on what we have seen. Whilst GGG's orthodox style would suit Froch well.. I think when you combine speed, technic, movement.. then GGG is the younger man and definitely would have the edge in all those departments.

Either way, it is an enticing match-up.

 

Actually, Froch was knocked down by Taylor, getting out boxed, then finally landed a really good shot, but Taylor has a glass jaw and no stamina. Golovkin is totally superior to Taylor and would be superior to Froch, he is used to sparring lightheavyweights. Brinkley predicted that Golovkin would beat Stevens, Brinkley also has predicted that Golovkin would beat Ward, but the problem is that Ward will not take the drug tests, refuses to fight outside his hometown with his personal referee, judges, boxing commission, etc., so I don't know if that fight will happen. Stevenson has been calling Ward out, but Ward won't even answer him. Kovalev would knock Ward out also.............wants to fight Ward also..............

 

Stop with the ****ing hyperbole, Fartboxer. Ward is under no obligation to give in to additional demands made after a fight is signed and the vast majority of his fights have happened outside his hometown.

 

I think you're over rating Froch's decline. Froch's stamina was pretty good in that fight. I agree that he slowed down from round 7 on but that was mainly because he started to soo fast. His game plan was probably always going to be to jump out to the early lead against Kessler so he could control the pace in the later rounds.

Froch normally starts slow to gauge his opponent but he didn't in that fight. I frankly haven't seen too many signs of slippage. For the Bute fight he was training for speed. Maybe he looked faster in that fight. I honestly can't see much of a difference in his speed in the kessler fight relative to the Abraham or even the brian McGee fights.
