Remember when Roy Jones used to straight up dominate his opponents? I mean he knocked an opponent out with a "chicken dance" punch. He hit Virgil Hill with a devasting body shot that even I felt. This man made history by winning the heavyweight title. It was a nobody John Ruiz but still an accomplishment in its own right. But now Roy Jones is just a joke. I gave him the benefit of the doubt when Tarver took him to the limit in their first fight. Roy claims the weight was the problem. Ok Roy, I believe you. But then in the rematch, I fully expect you to show us what should of happenend the first time. What happens? You get knocked the **** out. We hear more excuses from you. You weren't into the fight, you still feeling the effects of the weight loss, yada yada yada... Then you get in the ring with journeyman Glen Johnson and he just knocks your ass to an alternate dimension. The credits were rolling and you were still in the ring getting medical attention. Last but not least, you get one more shot at Tarver and you just run around the ring scared of getting hit and still almost get floored in one of the later rounds. More excuses. I can't believe you said you lost the fight because you didn't want your dad getting the credit (see "Countdown to Trindad vs Jones"). These last three fights have deluded Roy into thinking he's back to being the Roy of old. What planet is he on? He hasn't looked impressive in ANY of those fights. He barely even lets his hands go anymore. Those knockdowns against Trinidad weren't anything special, and that was not a virtuso performance like some these so-called analyst described it to be. The old Roy would of knocked him out. Somebody needs to talk to that dude and tell him that he is going to seriously get hurt if he steps into the ring with any serious competition (Pavlik, Taylor, or even Calzaghe). This may sound sadistic but **** I don't even care if it does happenend. It needs to happenend for him to realize that he needs to retire. He is not short on money, there is no reason for him to continue boxing. Leave us with the memories of your glory days, nobody wants to see you in this state. He so many shells away from his former self, yet he still talks like he is the king. I'm tired of Roy Jones and he needs to look at Terry Norris, Riddick Bowe, and even Ali so he can see what could happen to him if sticks around far past his prime. For a man who holds Gerald McClellan so close to his heart, he sure doesn't act like it...

shot means you can't react you slow down did you watch the trinidad fight and see that hand speed at 39 he's faster than fighters in their 20s he hasnt taken much punoshment.he got hit and had to deal with adversity for the first time it just came later in his career he could definatly win another title

It's called getting old!! He's ****ing 40 years old!!! The first thing to go are your reflexes and quickness, then slowly your power and punch resistance fades. It happens. He was still the best i've ever seen. If I found out he is a blood decendant of Jesus himself, i wouldn't be suprised!!
