Like he beat Joe Calzaghe? GGG gives old man Hopkins brain damage.

I think GGG beats Hopkins at his best.

Hopkins's biggest wins were from WW and Robert Allen:patsch

I'd never count out B-hop but given how much leather GGG throws this could be a tough one for him to win. Depending on how much Hopkins still has left I could see it turning out a bit like the Calzaghe fight - and that was close so it isn't impossible that he could impose his craft and win. But I don't think it's an easy fight for him at all.

Those WW's are better than GG has on his resume by miles.

Hopkins also has victories over Tarver, Johnson and Pascal. All better than GG

in his prime at middleweight Hopkins would have faired easier and possibly outboxed Golovkin to a close decision. Now at 48-49 fighting 6-7 years at light heavyweight and dropping down after getting hit far too easy by Karo Murat, I can only see Hopkins quitting on his stool as Delahoya did with Pacquiao (of course not without a few theatrics along the way )

Golovkin has fought some good opposition in Mathew Macklin and Nobuhiro Ishida (who he destroyed in 3 rounds) aswell as Gabriel Rosado and hopefully will get the big fights against Quillin and Martinez or even Darren Barker but chances are these guys will avoid him. Its hard to get the big fights when the top opposition want nothing to do with you.

Hopkins is only using Mayweathers name to get recognition now because of the seemingly lack of big fights in the Light Heavyweight division (Adonis Stevenson and Sergey Kovalev being the exceptions). Rightfully Hopkins should move up to Cruiserweight but that division is owned exclusivey by european fighters who dont sell in the US

What id like to see from Hopkins :

Adonis Stevenson / Sergey Kovalev / Carl Froch - Retire

Pick up the WBC from Stevenson if the old dog still has it, Wrestle the WBO from Kovalev and then defend his title / move down in weight to fight Froch for his WBA/IBF belts. that will do enough to finish off his great career

    From Golovkin :

Martin Murray / Sergio Martinez / Peter Quillin or Darren Barker - move up to 168

Id like to have seen him retire after Tavoris Cloud and breaking his own record but he feels the need to continue and what better way of doing it than beating the two other threats as Lightheavyweight?

Would be ridiculous if he could do that. I just don't want to see him get hurt.

I think and hope he will stop once he's defended the belt at 50 years of age. That's an incredible number to bow out as a champion at. I think he's actually got a better shot at beating Stevenson than he had with Chad Dawson. Power is not the best tool you can have if your mission is beating Hopkins and I don't see Stevenson as particularly skilled.. A good boxer with speed to complement his outside game and enough strength not to get bullied is what beats b-hop, imo. I've never watched Kovalev and so have no oppinion on that matchup.

sense b hop pretty much said hes gonna fight at the lower weights. lets jst hope he moves down one division to 168.

    bhop/ward
    bhop/froch
    bhop/abraham

why not? besides ward being on hbo and i dont think bhop will fight over there.

froch fights all over hbo , showtime, epix , wealth tv so i dont think that will be a prob.

b hop/froch thats the fite we need... not this b hop at 160 crap fight may, or ggg

Why are people even talking of GGG fighting Kovalev/Hopkins? They are 2 weight classes above him ffs. Ain't happening.
