We've seen guys like James Toney and Floyd Mayweather use it beautifullyover the years. It's great to watch when used effectively but what I'd like to know is, who was the first guy in history to use it? Did anyone in the early days use it?
on youtube look at the following guys george benton aka the professor and Nicolino Locche - El Intocable (The Untouchable)
It has been around for so many years, and not only in boxing even. Who's to say who invented it? Maybe some dude in ancient China or Japan or even some caveman with broad shoulders who caught the force of his rival's club on his shoulder or upperarm to counter with a strike of his own. :conf
There isnt one fighter who invented it, its a natural reflex, some are better than others at it. Question is asked like once a week
sorry, credit where it's due. when we sparred, the detonator blocked all of articuno's head shots on his shoulder, while making articuno roll around the canvas with his own. that's why we decided on "shoulder roll", 1 word each, see?
The British invented boxing and the Marquess of Queensberry rules. So, if you need to know anything about boxing, just ask one of us.
