Fact is there both to blame. Floyd didn't want none of Pac and Pac didn't want none of Floyd. They were both happy getting rich fighting lesser fighters

And OT Pac did take performance enhancing drugs, shits obvious

Personally, Ive always agreed with Bert Sugars take. FMJ was not afraid of Pac - but he (and Pac did the same type of thing) looks for all sorts of pressures and advantages. Pac is the same way actually. From the HBO Roach series it seems obvious that its possible to get under Pacs skin, and thats what FMJ camp was trying to achieve for an edge in the fight.

And sort of accidentally deep sixed the whole shebang. Because usually people accept his terms in the end to get the fight. Pacs team who did similar things knew what the game was. Deadlock between egos and advantage seekers. I thick accusations of cowardice or that FMJ was actually afraid of Pac are inaccurate though, like Sugar said - FMJ is afraid of losing not of people.

I think some decades from now, the entire story will probably come out somewhere. And I think it will be an extremely interesting read when it does, just from a historical perspective and insight into the contract and matchmaking process... something I find as interesting as the fights themselves.

 

The only thing I got from threads like these is how terrified *****s still are of an actual fight with Pac. Unbelievable

 

I'm a fan of both fighters (if that's allowed on ESB,) and I never favored Pacman in a fight against Floyd, even when Pacman was in his most dominant form around 2009-2010.

Floyd is just a terrible matchup stylistically for Pacman. He'll just allow Pacman to come forward and be the aggressor, and he'll pick him apart rather easily I believe. Pacman's handspeed and combination punching could make it interesting, but his high volume of punching will leave him susceptible to wide open counterpunches coming back at him.

JMM gave Pacman hell in all 4 fights, imagine what Mayweather would do who is arguably better than JMM at every facet of the boxing game. I don't think these 2 should fight solely because it would be a one-sided domination on Floyd's part. Pacman is actually tailor-made for someone like Floyd.
