I agree with pretty much this the reason we are slating the opponent is that we where promised the biggest show in the history of matchroom, what we get is Crolla v Gethin which is a decent domestic scrap, Fielding v the African guy for the commonwealth which is two undefeated fighters so makes sense for a decent undercard fight. We had Smith v Sykes before the suspension and this would have been a decent domestic clash, Quigg defending his belt against this guy just makes no sense in making it the biggest show for matchroom. I think the addition of Lee and maybe Yafai and Smith on the undercard would boost the level of it but at this short notice they are only going to be fighting punching bags. I don't see Smith on this card however as I think Hearn will try and get him on the Sturm Barker card or on a goldenboy show in December.

The card is very weak no getting away from that certainly not PPV worthy for me.

Feck off with that ****, if you were a turkey you'd obviously justify being slaughtered for xmas to other turkeys.

If Frank put this crap PPV on he'd rightly get the crap kicked out of him on these forums so Hearn deserves a good kicking too.

Bully boy Hearn has had months to put together a good PPV and we're going to end up with a Main card that has Froch facing an opponent who has never beaten a Top 15(at time of fight) Super Middleweight. Quigg is facing some bum, Gethin vs Crolla is an okay fight but hardly mouthwatering since Martin is coming off a defeat and the rest of the card are Matchroom boxers vs TBA's or journeymen so will end up as non fights.

All that garbage for £15 or you can pay £10 a month and get the following great fights on Boxnation:

    NOVEMEBER

Roman "Rocky" Martinez vs. Miguel Angel "Mikey" Garcia - WBO Super featherweight title.

If the fights being sold as a title fight and the challenger is rated 88 in the world that's a joke. If he wants a tune up then it should be above 8-10, a non title fight. Even then he should be fighting someone rated a bit higher, top 20 ish. What's this fella rated at by the WBA?.

Spot on, but I did have a chuckle when the comparison to Boxnation came in

But as you say, £15 for that - no better than a 'good' sky sports one card or all that on Boxnation for just a fiver more. No comparison at all.

Far worse than I could of imagined that PPV like

I can understand why the Froch-Kessler rematch was a PPV and the same goes for Haye-Fury but i see no justification at all with Froch-Groves, it's a mismatch made even more one sided with the break-up between Groves and Adam Booth. If it had to be PPV why not at least put on a co-main event and spend the money putting Sturm-Barker on the card?

It really is a stinky PPV and yes Frank put on some that were just as bad or worse but i thought this was supposed to be 'New Age Boxing', not the same old crap repackaged to a new generation of mugs on twitter!

As far as I can see he isn't in the top 15 of the WBA but he is in the top 15 of the WBO

Let me preface this by saying I have never seen Froch-Groves as a ppv fight but, is the undercard much worse than on Froch-Kessler:

    http://boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=664548

Is that the issue, that the weaker main event demands a better undercard?

Pretty much. Froch-Kessler was eagerly anticipated because it is two big names, respected in the boxing world, with one a huge star in his home country. The British man was avenging only 1 of 2 defeats and had the chance to do so on home soil. While most favoured Froch (quite heavily) it was billed on Sky as a genuine 50/50 'pick em' fight - there is no way they could bill this as such, and there was a feeling that they couldn't bring Kessler over here without the PPV money so it was relatively accepted.

    Now look at groves:

Dropped by Kenny Anderson, his best win came nearly 3 years ago. He has fought literally nobody of note this year, isn't exactly charismatic.

Is BJS PPV worthy? Frankie Gavin? - these have similar resumes to Groves, and you wouldn't consider those as PPV worthy fighters, so what has Groves done? The fight is half decent at best.

Plus on paper at least, Bellew-Chilemba 1 was decent - it was a relevant fight between 2 seemingly well matched opponents with the winner moving on to a title shot.

This one needed a PPV type undercard 'Monster' as Hearn put it, and it has quite frankly failed to deliver it

Quigg v Galahad would be an interesting little domestic scrap, why not throw that on there instead of bringing in some unknown that's nobody is interested.Hearn seriously needs to pull the finger out.

I follow Argentine boxing pretty closely and have never caught him on a televised domestic card. My only glimpse ever of Silva that I can recall is correspondingly his one step up in class - when he got destroyed by Fernando Montiel on a Latin Fury PPV undercard. (remember those? When JCC Jr. was a sideshow novelty act never expected to get near a world title...)

It's alright if you're nocturnal. The domestic stuff is gash.
