Should Joe Joyce turn Pro?

He started boxing well late so he might not even have the desire to turn pro 2bh

 

Is he definitely our top amateur heavy?If so hell be doing reasonably well financially.I was impressed with him in the world series.Could do very well in the Commonwealths,and also IMO be a very decent pro,so it could be a dilemma.Whatever,I hope he makes the best decision for HIM as he comes across as a very decent lad.Got a feeling he's got his head screwed on also,so should do well for himself.

 

alo of people in amateur circles think hes better then joshua so maybe he could go to rio 2016

Just checked, he was born in 1985.. so he's 28.

Look at Tony Thompson, he's 42... as is Vitali.

Wlad is 36/37.

Adamek is mid 30's.

You can look across the board of the HW division and you'll find a lot of the top tier guys are around there mid 30's. If you think about it, there's many examples that show Heavyweights almost "age better" if that's how you can put it, than those in the lower weights.

If Joyce turned pro now at 28, it'd be 7 years by the time he's 35. He could definitely make the change and make a career for himself.

if he did well at Rio and turned pro it would be a bigger deal for him but he would be 32.

 

He needs to dip his hands in some petrol and man up.

 

Better than joshua ? Not a chance, terrible chin and sloppy technique mixed with woeful defense. Hes not not up to much tbh.

 

Joshua showed some sloppy technique in the Olympics he still won gold?

 

How has he got a bad chin,Thought it was quite good.I don't think he's a potential worldbeater,but a good addition to an interesting heavyweight scene in Britain.If he stayed amateur could see him getting a Commonwealth bronze and maybe even Olympic bronze if he had a good bit of luck.
