Both vicious punchers that possessed frightening power as displayed by some of of their brutal knockouts.

    Who was the bigger hitter?

Punch for punch, Tua. Ridiculous swatter.

    But for overall effectiveness, Tyson.

Mike Tyson had alot of things going with him: Fear Factor, Body attacks, timing, Combinations

David Tua has Raw Ugly One Punch KO power :deal

Overall Tyson could be the better KO Artist, but TUA is the better one Punch KO Artist

I'd say Tua hit harder but Tyson overall had a lot more speed and skill to go along with putting his puncher together much better. Tua in his prime could hold his own with any heavyweight who was willing to stand their ground and fight him toe to toe. Tua's difficulties came with fighters who knew how to use their range. I believe if Tua fought Tyson it could've gone either way because of this.

Tua had better one punch KO power. Nobody could survive a prime Tua left hook

Tua also has one of the best chins of all time

too bad he was so limited and never learnt how to deal with a jab, he could've been an ATG

Exactly what I was going to say, Tyson rarely took opponents out with one single shot.

Tua was a poor mans Tyson but Tua's left hook was pure blunt force trauma. Tyson didn't have single punch power to match it.
