I have never even been slightly impressed by Fury. I have no idea what people see in him. He is fighting blokes you would laugh at if you saw them getting aggressive in the pub.
I think he is a bit overrated, but am not concerned too much about his opponents. If he is 28 and still fighting at this level, then you worry.
The Croat is an MMA light heavy, as such not really a suitable opponent for either Fury ,or Joshua. Having said that Joshua looked impressive in having only his third pro fight. I saw Bruno's rise from the amateurs to his retirement, Joshua looks the more talented at comparable stages of their careers. He could probably have been safely matched with the losing finalist in the Prizefighter Competition, but with the big boys one punch and the wheels can fall off the wheel barrow, as David Price has proved. Early doors.
Dispatched how? Kisicek was stopped on his feet, ready to continue. He looked quite durable. Referee with an obvious agenda stopped it, but that's nothing new. What I see about Joshua is his poor technique. That's most likely because he picked up the sport late. He has to work on it ASAP. This simply won't cut it at the top level. To say something about Hughie, he is much better technique wise. It's obvious he spent alot more time in the ring. Going 6 rounds with Kisicek is no shame, although it indicates he's lacking KO power.
Hughie is as rough as Joshua, I wouldn't say either one has pulled clear on that. Hughie looks like he needs a decent training camp
Never seen him fight hughie, but the fight with aj went to long, should have been stopped after the kd, aj played with him to the point it was cruelty.
I look at Hughie Fury and for those who remember him, the parallels with Tony Collins are a little surreal. Both are younger brothers to siblings with long unbeaten records. Both are fighting often at a very young age, against poor opposition. For those who do not remember Tony Collins and are fans of Hughie, I hope for your sake that is where the parallels end. As Tony eventually after many easy fights, jumped up the levels too quickly, and was involved in a couple of brutal 12 round wars, and had retired before his 23rd Birthday, not able to even get to top Domestic level, let alone make an impact at a higher level than that.
Hughie fury 18 years old. Joshua is already 24. Hughie has just short of 6 years to get to Joshua's age and he will improve. I like both. If they were to box now I would think Joshua would win. But fury has time on his side and will only get stronger. You simply cannot compare both boxers now due to age.
