Took a good look at 2 of LSC fights...Malinga (at 118 I think), and Terrazas at 122. Both these guys made LSC work hard and both very inferior, vastly inferior, to CF in almost every department - skills, power, strength etc.

I can't see his straightforward, square-on, upright "walk up and throw" style beating a sophisticated all-rounder like Carl.
That said he is very tough and a great body puncher.
I just feel LSCwould have to use much more skill than what he has shown me to beat Carl.
His mini-margarito, mini-magomed "war of Attrition" approach will not cut it against Carl IMO.

Not saying LSC is not capable of introducing better boxing technique into his game, perhaps he simply hasn't had to up to now - and its is hard to argue with his success.

Remember too that CF is tough and strong himself - hes not just a pretty face either.
Actually I could see CF giving him anything from a boxing lesson to a sickening beating.

So I pick CF to beat LSC.

Framoton has a lot of qualities. LSC is strong and come forward pressure fighter. Great fight. 50 50 for me.
I slightly favour Frampton because apart from having a great footwork and thinking brain he also has decent power that LSC may not have faced yet. That said, I think LSC has better power than Kiko Martinez not in terms of strength but in terms of accuracy.
    Could go either way really.

Hell of a fight and great post. I can't pick a winner here as
it depends on where the fight is. In a fair venue with a fair
ref and officials I'd say Leo by close decision based on volume
but the mexican's chin hasn't been tested and carl is a complete
fighter and that includes world class power. true 50/50 fight.

This would be a great fight. I mean stay in the mind, memorably great. Santa Cruz is a non-stop pressure fighter. Frampton is a smooth boxer-puncher. Both have a solid dig. I think it depends on how Frampton stands up to LSC's shots. Assuming he can he wins on points, but it would demand a rematch.

Leo in a totally different league, well above Frampton.

    Explain how exactly?
Don't just state the bald "opinion"...in a two line post.....back it up.
    Give us examples, fats!
    Exactly what is Frampton lacking?
What areas does he fall short in?
What are CFs weaknesses, that LSC can exploit?
What does LSC do that CF can't cope with? Etc etc etc

Currently I have LSC by late body shot accumulation stoppage.

In a year's time my views may change.

The one thing you can be certain of here is neither of these men are bums.
Two terrific fighters and a bout between them would make for an amazing spectacle.

I'd favour Frampton's superior footwork and technical ability to see him through, but that may be bias. Either way I'd love to see it.
