Tyson Fury has started training again for the David Haye fight and has been visible publicly at various events and tweeting about the Haye fight.

Haye on the other hand appears not to have started training again and has not really mentioned anything regarding the fight.

This sounds ominous regarding Haye's participation in the fight.

Surely as it is getting on for 18 months since Haye last fought [by the time of the fight he will have fought just once in nearly 3 years ] he would need to be in training for as long as possible to shake ring rust.

I honestly think, for whatever reason, Haye wants nothing to do with this fight and even £5million GBP isn't motivating him to step into the ring.

I suspect we will never see Haye in a ring again :good

Got to agree, I've still got tickets but I just can't see the fight happening.

Vitali has to make a decision about his future soon, or the WBC will HAVE to strip him.

Haye Vs Wilder for the vacant title, would make a lot of money, more than Haye Vs Fury IMO.

Is Haye waiting to see what happens with Vitali? I think so...

It will, dont worry. Guy I know ran into Haye 8 days ago, Saturday morning in Cork, Ireland. Baffling, I know. Apparently Haye was there incognito filming some promo work for the Fury fight. According to my friend Haye seemed up for it alright...

It won't happen, probably. Haye picked Fury only because of his last fight, that Fury said "opened him many doors": a lot of fighters that didn't want none of him asked him to fight, after he got decked for a stupid move by Cunningham.
But probably Haye changed his mind after having seen Fury elegantly outboxing Steve Cunningham and Eddie "fast" Chambers in sparring.

I'd imagine the reason Haye & Booth are staying out of the way is so they don't get asked about Groves leaving Booth

Did you read what I said?
If the fight is not on, why is Haye filming promos for it?

I don't think Haye sees Fury as a worthy opponent and is underestimating him. I remember in the lead up to the first date Haye looked in decent shape, but a bit fleshy to what he normally would do. I thought then he ain't taking it serious and then a few days later it was called off.

Still, there's still a good while til 8th Feb mind. I don't think Haye would call it off again.

What a wank haye is, was a big fan of his as well. So after coming out of retirement nearly a year ago he fought no-oneone, just raised his profile. FRAUD
