In the biggest fight of his life, his toe supposedly defeated him..... But his big toe didn't keep him from running.... And Ali fought (but nearly lost) with a broken jaw against Norton in their first fight.... Ali, an ATG...Haye.....a All Time (Bloody) Get. Sir Henry Cooper is rolling over in his grave!
I think he cared more about being a celebrity than actually boxing And he achieved the celebrity part so boxing is now second to him (and hence why he barely fought)
Sad to know he's retiring. Love him or hate him, he brought some much needed excitement to the Heavyweight division for as long as he lasted.
As much as I hated his performance against Wlad he was one of my favs. The hardest puncher in boxing for his size.
He was a warrior and very brave at that.Managed to run for a whole 12 rounds with a broken toe. Now,thats what legends are made of.
He was a very good fighter! Explosive fast and punch evasive! Shame he didn't stay active after wlad loss. He KOd chisora, which I don't believe will happen again, unified crusier! And had a damn good go at heavyweight! I still feel he was the strongest threat to k2 over next year!
