I have a terrible feeling people will overrate CARL FROCH down the line

Us, living in the now, realize this guy is good, but not great. You cannot become a great fighter by losing to the Kessler's, the Dirrell's, and getting SEVERELY outclassed by the Ward's of your era. It just isn't a recipe for ATGreatness.

Froch does have a very good looking resume with some good wins. The problem is that he simply can't compete at the very elite level, where you need more than heart and a pretty good chin. He simply doesn't have ATG skills, and there's no debate.

I fear that because of a lack of other good fighters, certain people will overrate Froch throughout history, perhaps claiming he is greater than even Andre Ward. We've seen the hideous overrating of fighters such as Calzaghe, and it is a frightening thought to think that the focus in the future will turn to Froch.

Froch is very good to watch in the ring, even if he's a bit over confident. Let's make sure we all do our part to remember him as a GOOD but not GREAT title holder in the 168 lb division.

    Thanks guys.

He's been a great fighter for the 168lb division, sorry to disappoint you but he will probably be remembered that way.

I'm not aware among even us Brits that he's regarded as a great fighter.

I don't think he lost to Kessler or Dirrell.

He's a tough and durable fighter that takes on all comers.

He has a great resume, but was decisively beaten once, by Ward, who is still undefeated and may prove to be the greatest middleweight of all time.

Froch also called out Calzage mutlipe times, so it's not as if he was ever ducking the best.

I agree that Froch is more very good than great, but I like his warrior mentality. At least he will fight anyone going, and is aggressive and makes entertaining fights. I have more time for him than Calzaghe, and I wish they had fought because it would have been a good match up.

Froch is a bit of a **** but hes a fun guy to watch and from an achievement standpoint i feel he has done more than anyone ever thought he could with his limited skill set... hes one of those guys who isnt flashy but is tough to beat his fights are somewhat entertaining although i feel his power is overrated on these here forums also the british fanbois get upset if u criticize him

What happened to this forum? Started reading check hook boxing recently and its got a load of characters who used to post on here.

my reluctance of moving is I'd have to recreate my ignore list and its taken a lot of time and effort to grow it to the size it is at the moment. I noticed that little scumbag Michigan warior is on check hook.

    I was floored.
