That makes sense.Im sure neither man is afraid of the other.David was maybe in front of Tyson when that fight didn't come off.At the moment,David, honest man that he is,would probably admit he needs a few easier fights than either Fury or Chisora.

Makes absolutely no sense right now.
The fight was gonna be huge becasue they were both looking like the best heavy prospects in britain. Price is no longer considered that.
The only way the fight happens is if price gets at least 3 good wins and get back into a position where he is looking seriously powerful and on the verge of title contention.
Right now theres not going to be loads of money. Let price get back up to where he was and then do it.

In my opinion, for what it's worth, Fury DID duck Price. To an extent.

Fury had just beat Chisora for the British and Commonwealth Titles. Price had just put himself into number 1 contention. And Price had said publicly, words to the effect of "Tyson is a proud fighting man. He will fight me."

As we now know that fight never came off. Maybe it was down to timing. But Fury gave up his titles and chased down Rogan for the Irish title.

I can't see where the commercial benefits were, there.

I reckon, following Prices 2 defeats, Fury breathed a huge sigh of relief at the fact that any fight between the 2 was about as far away as it could ever be. I'm not the biggest fan of either but Fury has improved greatly since the days of uppercutting himself. :patsch

I don't we will see Price in with anybody who offers a threat for at least his next 2 fights. he wants to rebuild his confidence and get some momentum for a big fight like a Chisora or Fury. imagine if he signed to fight one of them right now, no confidence and no fans/pundits or maybe even TV stations out there would believe in him. Not going to happen for awhile at least.

I expect he will fight 2 lower level, feather fisted fighters in Germany.

To be fair to him he always said he wanted that Irish title ever since he turned pro. Whether that was the right decision is another matter.

Fury is a bit of a w@@ker, hasn't got a huge amount of skill but a ducker he aint

    He ain't a "ducker"?
he vacated the belts to fight Rogan instead of defending them against Price, that's a "ducker"
If he vacated to fight for a European or world title shot, fair enough, but no can argue about it, Fury vacated because he didn't want anything to do with Price at that time.

As I said I'm not sure the decision was the correct one, but my view on a ducker is that your **** scared to fight someone so you don't fight them. I don't think Fury is scared of price

If he was so scared to fight price why would he agree to fight Haye twice, or are you saying price is better then Haye?

You don't have to be **** scared, fury probably felt price would beat him, that's why he avoided him, nothing to do with being scared!
As for price being better than haye, what's that got to do with fury ducking price?
Fury would never turn a fight with haye down if he was scared or not, far to much money involved for him, i believe if the haye fight would have went ahead it would have been the biggest pay day he would have ever got in the rest of his career & if he lost against haye he could still come back because he was a massive underdog, whilst a loss against price early on would have done much more damage to his career.

Fury fighting price is a serious step down

Fury should be looking at Wilder or Pulev or even Thompson Price is british level and aint even ready for Chisora.

Yes i did say Price would beat WIlder but atm hes ranked higher and a bigger name and bigger payday

Tyson's team did duck it. Peter Fury's said as much. They pulled out of the fight before it even went to purse bids.

I'm not calling Tyson a ducker, I genuinely think he's daft enough to fight anyone. It was clearly Mick Hennessey & Peter Fury that didn't want any part of the Price fight back then.

The Price fight back then made no sense to be honest and Fury would break him down and make him quit

I guess thats whay i was trying to say, the fight didn't make sense in terms of commericals, timing, risk etc..... so can't blame Tyson management team. But Fury would have fough him all day long
