Froch was beaten as an amateur by TKO by Peter Manfredo Jr, who is to say Groves couldn't force a result like this on Carl.

Ali had to be saved from a KO against Cooper, so why wouldn't Joe Bugner be able to beat Ali? :!:

Merely just making the point that with Froch having a supposed iron chin he has been stopped before albeit in the amateurs. Also your point of how many years ago it was can also be said about Froch knocking Groves down in sparring.

    Calzaghe > Eubank > Benn > Grovesy > Froch > Reid > Magee

Although groves has the ability to surpass them all and become a 3 weight champion

Super Mid - Light Heavy - Cruiser

AM background means very little, Froch as a Pro has a solid chin, Groves has been floored and wobbled by low lever fighters. (Froch floored by an HOF MW, who he then knocked out)

Terrible thread, Groves has no chance this Saturday, stop trying to find reason for you to get excited. Just enjoy what will be a one sided beat down. A fun one though as it will end in a brutal Froch KO win.

Jermain Taylor, tremendous fighter but had a poor gas-tank. (better than every single Groves win so far, combined)

Actually after thinking about it more i will concede that he is not an ATG but still a HOF career i would say. Either way it doesn't matter that Froch was dropped by him, he was a good fighter. (unlike Kenny Anderson, who is barley at British level?.)

Thought that was who you were talking about. Myself i wouldn't consider him an ATG but yes, good fighter. As for froch getting knocked down by him, no shame in that either. As far as i'm concerned any fighter can get hurt if they get hit right.

Groves has been knocked out in the Amatuers aswell and has been rocked a few times and knocked down by Kenny Anderson and was all over the place for a while in that fight so dont see your point with this thread it means nothing .
