utter garbage fight Mora has 3 wins in his last 6 fights. seriously?? picking a fight with the 24th ranked middleweight? man this is pathetic if its true
Very Interesting fight, Sergio Mora is solid as they come, good boxing skills & experience, never been stopped. Still relatively in his best, so this will be a real test for GGG KO power.
Right, sry about being unclear. You did say it was a drop off [...] etc. I meant I wasn't arguing your point anymore
I know it kills ya (you weren't the only one that died a little on the inside), but that was a clear win for Sergio. If there was any way that fight could've been scored for Vernon, trust me, it would've been.
As for GGG-Mora, yeah it's not a great fight, but GGG is doing the right thing. Other promoters want Golovkin to raise his profile before they send in their fighters to get slaughtered. All he can do is stay active and keep destroying guys to do just that. Besides, stopping Mora would be something of a statement. Just not the same as if Murray had manned up and took the fight.
Mora's an American fighter with a fairly prominent name due to a tv show from nearly 10 years ago. Beating him would probably raise Golovkin's marketability even more so than beating Geale, but I'd much rather see him fight Geale, even though the fight might last just as long with either guy. What could happen is Murray-Mora on the undercard of Golovkin-Geale, with the winners facing each other in May. Murray dropped out of his rematch with Khomitsky, they claim from a virus, but more likely due to signing on for a HBO double header.
