:deal And Froch still hurt and dropped Groves in sparring. he wasn't even throwing proper hurtful shots and they were with bigger gloves and headgear on. Smaller gloves tonight and proper hurtful shots being thrown spell disaster for groves tonight.
Well Ward is a different class,he can say what he likes about how to beat Froch doesnt mean anyone else is going to be able to replicate it. Especially George Groves
:good, that was exactly my point but people just listen to ward and think Groves is easy to beat. For Ward he is yeah lol.
Wrong, I have been a groves fan since the start of his career and felt he could go along from the first moment I saw him. As soon as the fight was announced I said he would give a good account of himself and I strongly maintain that belief. Brainwashed is believing Froch is this unbeatable all time great warrior :hi:
A great tale according to Froch, so Groves was that hurt he touched gloves and continued the sparring. Froch contradicts himself so often, so what happened two days after, Groves said he took Froch apart, still Froch didn't deny it, must be when his selective amnesia kicked in.
You know what I have watched Groves from the very start of his career myself and was never really impressed with him until after he beat James Degale. He came across very arrogant on an episode of Bunces boxing hour on Setanta so I made it my business to follow his career, the Kenny Anderson fight left huge question marks over his head and it always baffled me why he never gave Anderson the rematch,he pulled out of the fight with injuries that seemed very David Hayesque and even dropped his British title in order to get out of the fight.Since then he has been fighting nobodies and has somehow secured a title shot on the back of that. I most certainly do not believe Froch is invincible,he can be beaten but only by the very very best fighters on the planet and George Groves is not one of those fighters, certainly not yet anyway.
Sparring doesn't mean **** except that it is a bad sign if someone has dropped you in sparring, its going to be a lot easier to hurt groves with the smaller gloves and no headgear on though. "taking someone apart" in Sparring is easier to do than in a real fight. You try much harder in a real fight and show much more intent to do damage and to win.
It's all subjective, and what you wish to believe. It was 3 years ago, it's easy to read into something without actually being there. Still i respect your opinion, it's the uncertainty of what could happen that's makes this bout intriguing, i hope you enjoy the evening.
it being 3 years ago is a good point, i'm surprised it even gets bought up, it helps sell the fight i suppose. i do hope to enjoy the evening, shame about the shite under card. I hope you enjoy it as well. And most importantly i hope whoever wins deserves it. Been some terrible decisions recently in these fights. (can't see it going to points, but you never know)
Groves has potential, but that's it. No one knows how good he is as he has never faced a prime world level fighter. He has good skills, but froch is favourite and rightly so
Oh I'm sorry Jquik. If you don't mind forwarding me a list of questions that I'm allowed to ask then that would be much appreciated.
