Are slick defensive fighters like Chris Byrd: He never could beat Byrd so he had his brother fight him instead, even though Byrd offered Vitali a rematch several times.

Some have compared Carl Froch to Vitali Klitschko, both are awkward Boxer-Punchers. Yet Froch also struggled against Andre Ward, a slick defensive fighter.

Vitali Dominated Byrd until he tore his rotator cuff. Quite simply their were much more appealing fights on the table for Vitali rather than another beat down of byrd.

As far as his weaknesses-I always felt his jab was average to weak, nothing like his brothers. His power is slightly overrated as well. He basically wears opponents down because he is so huge and durable it puts tremendous mental and phsyical pressure on an opponent to last the distance with him.

No he couldn't that is telling but he also 40 something he's been around forever. I actually doubt if he ever fights again at this point. Chisora is also tough customer going distance with Helenius and Fury before Haye cracked him. I have respect for Chisora in the ring he fights all comers.

Nothing slick about Byrd, he was just lottery lucky that night!! Vitali's weakness is his health, plain and simple!!

OP is a dumb troll that likely wasn't even watching boxing when this fight took place, much less watched the fight

Vitali barley landed a glove on Byrd and that is a fact.

Why do you evaluate Vitali according to the worst fight of his carriere? That just wasn't his day... more than 10 years ago

He was ahead only because Byrd was barely throwing back. When he began to fight back Vitali quit.

Vitali's weakness is that he has no marquee fights apart from Lewis, and little or no opponents to give him marquee fights in a sub-par era.

His weakness actually was evident from the Byrd fight. It's his durability. His huge frame makes him more susceptible to injuries, and his skin cuts easily. Unfortunately, these aren't things that can be improved upon no matter how you fight, and are the main reason for all losses on his record.

His stamina isn't too great either, but it very rarely comes into play.

Byrd barely won a round. Vitali was on the way to lopsided UD before he got injured.
