Go and watch Amir Khan vs. Marcos Maidana. Groves was not remotely close to being in as much trouble as Khan was and Khan went the distance without going down once. Also watch Marquez vs. Pacquiao 4, Marquez was in far, far more trouble, behind on the cards earlier in the fight. The stoppage was a disgrace end of, I still can't get over it.

Good call, and there are numerous other examples.

Nothing was resolved last night. Everyone lost.

The sad thing is Froch will probably duck the rematch

Groves was hurt far worse in the Anderson fight and still won that.

    Very rational, all home-town decisions.

    what about Bute vs Froch?

Bute was almost carried to his corner... and the fight wasn't stopped

Same thing with Cleverly when Terry O'Connor literally did carry him back to his corner, while Kovalov, thinking he'd just won the fight, looked on with total bemusement.

A stoppage was a possibility but definitely not a formality.

Castillo vs Corrales is a good example of how things can change.

Froch was too much of a ***** to give Dirrell the rematch he deserved so I can't see Groves getting one either.

But of course if it's Froch that loses (Kessler) he demands a rematch

    Hypocrisy!

Exactly, that's cos it wasn't a British ref.

I bet if Cleverly had landed a few punches on Kovalev the ref would've jumped in too

And with Ward, despite getting totally outclassed and then demanding that Ward comes to him. That defiantly won't happen now.

I love Froch for what he does in the ring, but he hasn't covered him self in glory out if recently.
