But groves would have definitely survived the 9th? :huh

I know people are upset at the stoppage I'm froch's biggest fan and I can admit it was a brain freeze by the ref but if people can claim froch would have been ko'd if the 1st rd ended 10secs later than its more than feasible for me to believe froch would have gotten to groves later than the 9th, groves was in big trouble in the 9th he undoubtably took the best unanswered combo of the fight(nt the best punch)

Frock was put on his backside and his legs were everywhere... Hearn said he was unconscious... McCracken said he was badly hurt.

Groves was never put down, his legs were not going.....

    Tell me you understand this?

Froch was hurt bad yes, I've said it was a poor stoppage froch gt away with one but people saying groves would have survived the 9th because other fighters have should see it both ways, you can't say if a round lasted this much longer because it's 3 mins and that's it, groves was in trouble in the middle of the round so you can genuinely discuss what may or may nt have happened the rest of the round,

Why not give him the mandatory 8 count?

That is the law... he was not on the floor... he was bouncing around angry after ref stopped it.. so his legs were more than fine.

All very well saying what if what if... but what DID happen is the ref broke the rules.

    Why?

Just because Groves got a slight wobble does not mean he was going to get KO'd. Froch threw everything at him in that round and know one knows what would have happened 20 seconds later. Maybe Groves would have stepped out of range, grappled him for a moment to get his balance back. The assumption Groves was going to get KO'd is ridiculous. It's just as Likely Groves could have, waited for Froch to empty his tank and then counter

Apologies for asking a man from Nottingham to be honest about the fight.

    Bloody silly of me.

Oh dear.....is this Carl Froch posting under an alias? if you think the above then you need to take up cricket. Froch was schooled and the result last night is nothing short of a joke.

The difference was Groves was on the end of a barrage rolling his head around where Froch was getting hit by massive flush single shots which he could recover from, not sustained pressure on the ropes, lolling his head around.

Groves turned Frochs lights out in the 1st. Literally, he was out and got woke up by hitting the canvas

The stoppage was sickening. If anyone was getting KO'd in the last few rounds it was Froch. He showed he had the power to KO Froch, Froch never had Groves even close to ***** st

Groves was undoubtedly hurt, but his marbles were still fully there. He was about to clinch with Froch. Groves was in far worst situations than the 9th.

Groves didn't sem as hurt as Froch had been, but he was on the end of a barrage on the ropes rolling his head around which Froch wasn't. You don't get stopped from single flush shot landing unless you are KO'd clean, but stoppages are common on the ropes taking too many shots even if you aren't as hurt.

There is no mandatory 8 count unless a man goes down or the ropes prevent him going down. If people dont understand the rules how can they argue about them ?

Don't think he was full on the ropes? He was pushing against Froch trying to clinch from memory...

Anyway that seems to be the case in most instances - beyond a joke; remever Mac Vs McKenzie?
