:deal This is pretty much fact. Yeah, he's good at Middleweight, he's no Marvin Hagler but he's good. However, he's best moving down to 154 if he wants to change weight-class. At 168, he just wouldn't cope with the size issues and it's a harsh truth to face for GGG fans. He has virtually no chance against Ward, all real pugilist fans know this. Against Froch, he'd lose. Froch is far too big and powerful, honsetly Froch has more quality wins. Against Groves, he loses. Stevens, 5''4 had GGG on the backfoot and GGG hated it. Groves would send GGG on the backfoot easily, he's the SMW version of David Haye. GGG over Bute anyday tho he beat him as an Amateur. Bute as we know is trash. I like GGG, but 168 is not his ballpark. Neither is it Alvarez's or even Bute's.
Size isn't the issue imo. The problem is ward is just very, very good as well as bigger. Stevens is 5'7" and has fought an KO'd guy at 168. I think GGG has a chance against the rest of the guys at 168. Froch is max 3 inches taller than GGG and not much heavier. GGG has enough power to drop Froch considering ex MW Taylor did as well as Groves. Froch can be outboxed so as long as GGG doesn't gas he can win that fight. Groves is still unproven although he looks good so far. Avoiding his punches and landing on GGG is probably much harder than it is against Froch. GGG has enough power to hurt him also. Kessler I'm not sure how much he has left. Winnable imo. I'm not saing GGG would win these fight but I'd give him a decent chance.
Against Groves, he wouldn't win and he'd lose alot of power. Groves wouldn't run, he'd just be very elusive with reflexes and head movement and his timing is pefect.
Only Froch butfags had him as a 'nobody'. Groves proved he's world class at 168. GGG is not a 168 fighter.
GGG would still have enough power to hurt Groves. He hurt Stevens who has fought at SMW. It's a lot easier to be elusive and land shots against Froch and the other guys Groves has fought than it is against GGG.
You start your topic on a false premise, mate. The actual facts are: - Ward was 174 on a fight night ag. Dawson, and his reach is 23' - Froch was 172 ag. Bute, and his reach is 24' - GGG was 170 ag. Macklin, and his reach is 24' These are the facts. Not what you've concluded based on appearance. As for the rest of the post, let's just see I personally can't wait for his move up to 168 as there is no available top competition at 160.
How long did Stevens have GGG on the back foot, for 30 seconds total? Compare Dirrell's posture vs Stevens. Sorry alts shouldn't be able to create threads though.
I hate Froch, alot - BUT, he has far more quality wins over GGG. If Froch was at 160 then GGG wins, but at 168 GGG has no chance. At all.
Everybody knows the only reason GGG doesn't have an amazing resume is because every top dog and their mothers in the MW division are ducking him and crying in the corner like little bitches :deal GGG beat Froch's daddy, Dirrell in the amateurs, he also sonned Bute, Froch's best victory in recent years much better than Froch did. He has no reason to fear Froch at all. GGG is levels above Froch, skill wise, power wise and even chin wise. GGG beats him like a red headed stepchild
Froch's best wins won't help him once he's in the ring with GGG. If Groves can beat Froch's ass, imagine what Golovkin would do to old Carl. It wouldn't be pretty at all.
