While I sypathise with Groves am I missing something here? Did Froch not show the balls and heart of a lion to come through a beating and at the very least have Groves on ***** Street?
So what has Froch done wrong apart from being outboxed but showing tremendous courage and will to win?

Boycott all PPVs period. Kill the concept.

    Fights get made without it.

we should not be knocking georgie either, he did a tremendous job and was inches from becoming world champ at a young age.

TS is an idiot, first and foremost.

I genuinely feel that if Groves wasn't such an asrsehole during the weeks that lead up to the fight, Froch would've probably been more sympathetic to his cause during the post fight interview. Granted, a lot of the rhetoric was to sell the fight; and I strongly believe that Groves did his part 'expertly' (lol), but I think at times he simply wasn't paying Froch any real genuine respect.

Froch's post-fight comment were a bit unsavoury, to be fair. However, did we actually expect Froch to sit there and wax lyrical about how George schooled the **** out of him for 8 rounds?! Insulting and hating Froch stems from the post-fight comments. IMO, a lot of you fickle fools look real stupid by displaying your butthurtness so prevalentley.

I'm predicting either a rematch in June/ July 2014 at Wembley Stadium, if I'm honest. Can't see Bute getting past Pascal let alone endure another pounding on the ropes by Froch.

Froch is great when he's in the ring. He keeps trying right until the final bell, even when he has to take severe punishment. That shot that Groves hit him with in round one was the kind that should have ended a fight in most cases. Froch not only managed to get up, but he was able to recover and start landing shots of his own. Even if the stoppage was too early, Groves looked like he had begun to fade a little at least a round or two beforehand, and Froch was coming on strong. I don't really know what would have happened in those final rounds, but when it ended it was competitive and a great fight. Froch was up against a younger, faster, more skilled opponent who hit him with very powerful shots, and he still found a way to wear him down. He's not a great boxer (in terms of polish and technique), but he's definitely a very good fighter, and it's entertaining to watch him.

He doesn't do himself many favours with his comments to the media. He can come across as arrogant about his own abilities, and he wasn't exactly gracious after the fight. I like him, though. He's like something out of a Rocky movie -- he just won't stop coming, no matter what you do to him. Sometimes he loses, but he still gives it everything he has. He should think about his health, though. He takes too much punishment, and he's getting older...he should think about retiring soon.

lets say a ward froch clash in UK would produce 10 million $

Ward shouldnt be so greedy, he’s used to making peanuts so if he gets 2 out of those 10 million he should be happy
,especially since most claim he would beat froch easy anytime thus making it an easy payday…

personally i find it hard to believe he had a broken hand in the final, why then did team ward postpone the original fight date due to ward suffering a little scratch on his forehead ?? (while sparring with a padded helmet)
wouldnt a broken hand be more of a reason to postpone the fight??

im certain froch would win 10/10
Ward was just lucky the way it played out the first time

alternatively he could probably convince kessler to wait with his retirement if he would come to denmark for a rematch, that would also produce a similar
amount of $$$ and fill up the arena

again im certain ward would get KtfO in front of thousands

or he could have a small time fight with adonis stevenson , andre dirrell, or anthony dirrell ( i doubt this would produce nearly as much $) but even this is too scary for him…maybe even kokalev but i dont think andre wants to move up in weight anytime soon

or maybe take on Bute allthough his 0 was taken by froch allready?

theres plenty of dangerous fights for him to pick that would generate interest , but he rather take on kelly pavlik at home , (even though pavlik is buisy most saturdays getting wasted he might be persuaded to find one in his calendar) ,Dimitri Sartison, and hes considering fighting someone smaller than him from lower weight classes…i mean cmon, coward ranked #1???

to me froch is number 1 p4p
    he made it his mission
to fight the best in his division
    actually entertains the fight fans
keeps his hands low like a boss
    never made the chicken dance
comes back stronger from a loss
    answers punches with a grin
then moves forward determined to win
    many of his opponents froze
or broke their hands upon his nose

That was in no way a flash knockdown. He was hurt and his legs had gone. If it happened mid round, the fight is probably over in the first.

He does have a good chin though.
