No way! That fight shaved YEARS off of HIS LIFE, let alone his fight career!

GG is going to KO him within 5/6 when they meet again.

Froch's wear & tear has become massively apparent overnight - Hardly what you want to happen if your next opponent is a young lion.

    Froch is done. 100% done.

Froch isn't done, don't be daft. There are always knee-jerk reactions when a fighter struggles against an underdog. Carl fought an extremely motivated, skilled, hard punching fighter and, no matter the early stoppage, fought his way back into the fight and started bringing back the fight towards more even terms.

Froch always gets hit. Froch always struggles with speed and accuracy. He just wasn't able to bully George like we expected.

Saying he is shot denigrates George Groves excellent performance.

The other thing is Groves is 25, Froch is 36...they are going in totally opposite directions in terms of speed and power.

I'd back Groves in a rematch. Brutally because he knows he might have the judges / ref against him.

Dont think carl looked any different to me, just got exposed by a hungry young fighter who stylistically is all wrong for him.

I think we will only know the next fight he has, I dont see the Groves rematch being his next fight. I think he fights JCC Jnr next and if things go well he cashes out with the Groves rematch.
I think he will chase Ward but I dont think it will happen. I do think its strange Ward wont fight him again as Froch has the belts and he has beat him once all ready fairly easily. It shouldent be that hard a fight to make as it would unify the diversion.

What a bunch of drama queens on here. Folk love a bandwagon on this forum eh?

Froch has traditionally been a slow starter, and he got caught cold with a cracking shot in the first. That would have stopped many a fighter, and will have affected his performance.
By the 9th he was getting on top. It had only taken a couple of rounds to wear Groves down once he got to him. Okay, the stoppage was premature, but it looked pretty inevitable once Groves started to go.

I reckon Froch tightens up defense a bit more in a rematch, sharpens up his boxing a bit, and grinds Groves down late on.

Fair play to Groves for the first half of that fight, he did great, but everyone seems to be discounting the 9th round as if it didn't happen & making Froch out to be the bad guy.

The longer the discussion goes on, the worst the 9th round seems to get. Soon people will be saying the Pope was ringside ready to pray for George as he was on the verge of dying.

    Getting embarrassing.

Whats getting embarrassing is depending on what camp your in you twist things for your fighter.

Can't we all just except it was a great fight, both boxers were awsome in their own way and thats it.

Could spend all day on the what ifs but its pointless

I know and i try to tell myself this but the way it ended it taints it so much i cant enjoy it for what it was yet.

All the pre and post behaviour doesnt affect what i feel about the fight but the stoppage does

Im sure Froch still being the champion, keeping the titles and the amount of talk on here about the rematch feels his life has ended. :huh
