I was looking at what future possible opponents Pacquiao could face and Donaire came into my mind. As you all know Donaire is going to take over for Pacquiao once Manny decides to call it a career. I know there has been talk about a Mayweather vs Broner fight as some sort of paving the way for a new mega star, so why not Pacquiao vs Donaire. It's a win-win situation for Arum if he makes this fight. If Pacquiao wins, he would have beaten the 2012 fighter of the year and one of the best P4P fighters alive and just adds to his resume and shows us he is still the best. If Donaire wins, then Pacquiao can retire and a Donaire victory would be huge for Nonito's career. Donaire would be looked at as the new Manny Pacquiao and gets to take over Pacquiao's fanbase. Arum is looking for the next Top Rank mega star and it will be Donaire if he beats Pacquiao. What are your thoughts on this?

If this fight happens it would be great if it's in Macau and an HBO PPV. Have Viloria and Shiming on the undercard too.

I don't think they would like to fight each other as they are both from the Philippines and since there are not that many fighters from the Philippines in the higher weight classes they wouldn't want to see one of them lose. I also don't think Donaire would win over Pacquiao's fan base and would actually be despised if he were to beat (or knock out) Pacquiao.

Donaire has his own Cuban Mayweather at 122

Pacman vs Mikey Garcia is much more interesting

Well yeah the only bad part about the fight is if Donaire were to hand his left hook on Pacquiao.

Cuban Mayweather, you mean Gamboa? Gamboa wants to fight Mikey.

How is Donaire going to take over when he easily got beat and schooled by RIGO?

If Donaire beats Pacquiao, it catapults Donaire to near the top again.

Donaire had to rally from behind to salvage a win over an over the hill and blow up Darchinyan, but you think he could beat Pac? And no way would Pac risk draining himself down to 135 just for Donaire.

Donaire got the TKO win, that's all that matters. Pacquiao can easily make 135.

Well, Donaire is the only one to beat/stop Darchinyan twice which is by no means an easy feat.

Unless you run around the ring and pot shot.
