Froch Proves Himself Again. Amazing Warrior

:happyi can never understand this, english fans build up fighters, sportstars but then reval in tearing them down, imagine for example pacquio being in a similar fight could you see the philipino's turning on him ever?

We wanted groves to win after round one.

Groves showed us who the man is. When he was waiting for carl to get up.

Only thing what froch showed was an iron chin, he knew 3 punches, and ref jumps in.

Froch showed us how to get up from a hard kd, thats it.

 

The stoppage was not inevitable. Nobody has anyway to know that. People saying that, and Froch being one of the people who advocate it, is one of the reasons that there has been so much hate directed at Froch for this fight.

Groves was hurt, but he wasn't out on his feet and he was still fighting back, he derserved at least a standing 8 count and a chance prove he was durable and determined enough to recover. He was robbed of that chance and that is indefensible.

We were also robbed of a clean and decisive ending to an otherwise great fight, whether that ending would be a Froch KO or a Groves points win or whatever. The stoppage was not legitimate and Froch, Hearns, McCracken and the BBBofC's attempts to legitimize it have done nothing but annoy many, many fans.

This isn't about prefering the underdog or the lovable/spirited loser, this is about a great fight being ended prematurely and the event being ruined, it is about the fighter who was winning on the cards and who had been dominating the fight not being given the chance he deserved to prove his durability, determination and recovery power, and it is about what is percieved to be double standards of the ref when Froch was hurt far worse than Groves was early in the fight but the ref allowed him the chance to recover that he didn't give Groves.

Froch's determination, heart and spirit cant be faulted but his attitude in the aftermath in acting as if there is nothing controversial about this fight at all and that he claimed the stoppage "saved" Groves career has done absolutely nothing to improve his image or endear himself to the fans who saw this stoppage as an injustice - which, judging by the reaction, has been the majority of them.

If Froch had handled things differently and said "I thought I was getting to him and would stop him but the stoppage was premature and he deserves a rematch" people wouldn't be hating on him so much, but because he had tried to legitimize it and has acted as if it was a clean win for him he has lost a lot of the respect he used to have.

That's why they are so annoying, because they have no opinion on anything pacquiao does, just blind devotion. Brits actually look at the situation and make judgement calls, froch acted like a dickhead, no one is questioning his heart or courage etc, just the fact he's an arsehole.

 

It did seem to me halfway through that he waiting for the later rounds to come on strong.

With 3 rounds left i think Froch would of pulled out a convincing stoppage but the ref blew it.

 

Froch lands his first clean right hand and the ref puts Groves in a headlock and stops the fight. What a warrior

 

I think Froch was coming on.

Froch took a beating though, perhaps the only thing he could've done was give Groves his props post-fight and kept his mouth shut about "good stoppage" etc.
