Lucian Bute how do feel about him.

I think Bute is still one of the top fighters at 168. He's crazy if he stays at 175 after the Pascal fight. I think he just got overwhelmed when he hit Froch with good shots and Froch didn't even blink and kept coming forward. He just didn't know how to keep Carl off of him and gave in mentally.

I'd still like to see him fight Ward, Steiglitz, and Groves though. Hopefully he does well against Pascal and comes back down to 168 with some confidence.

 

Bute was intouchable for a minute. And he is more skilled that Ward. I think he still beats Ward.

He made a fateful move that may have ended his career vs Froch. He underestimated and forgot he was getting in a fight. Bute wanted to be Carls friend. Carl wanted to kill him.
Bute also fought with an injury vs both Froch and Grachev. The same injury that Ward had surgery on.

We'll see how the injury has healed and how he deals with taking a shot vs Pascal. If Bute is on his game, he's hit JP on the solar plexus early and once again, this board will be a Bute fan club.:deal

 

Andrade and Froch burst his bubble. He was overrated, not any more though.

 

He was a good fighter. He beat people more convincingly then other top fighters.

Unfortunatly he fell in love with his power against b/c level fighters and thought he could knock Froch. That was a cold shower and he lost his confidence, that much was clear during the Grachev fight.

We'll see how he does against Pascal, hopes he can come back.

bute beats ward...im pretty sure of this, and ward did duck bute this is obvious....

bute cant deal with brawlers....in the bute froch fight, when froch tried to box bute he would get out boxed...he started brawling and ended the fight....


bute will beat pascal, because pascal is not a brawler...bute will out box him and make pascal look like a fool....but put bute in with ppl like kovalev, stevenson, boone, froch, groves.....and he cant deal with the power or pressure...he has a bad inside game but can box ppls ears off with slick combos and fast hands...but he just cant deal with a brawl

 

He's underrated these days. He still gets treated like a protected, limited hometown fighter despite legitimately beating other contenders more convincingly than others and traveling to fight Froch in England. Froch dismantled him, of course, but we'd be better off if more fighters weren't so reluctant to travel and take risks.

 

More skilled than Ward based on what and against whom?

 

A carefully matched fighter who looks dominant against poor opponents but can't step up against better competition.168 is highly over rated. Not much talent there.

 

You do realize that Ward is arguably the best inside fighter in the sport? Do you really think given how easily the relatively slow-footed Froch was able to catch up to Bute that Ward would have any trouble taking Bute to the trenches? Him trying to keep Ward off of him would be pure comedy.

One thing I do somewhat agree with though, is that he matches up reasonably well against Pascal. Pascal still might take him out because Bute's chin is poor but Bute has a good shot in that fight.

 

So nobody knows **** about his whereabouts???
