I guess it was because most casual fans want to see knockouts, and in a Professional Boxing sense (which this is, he's not offering Paulie out in a streetfight) he doesn't offer this. But as was said before in the post you quoted it would be good to see him as he is the best pure boxer of the three.
Im not talking about fighting on the street and its actually a compliment , that i would want to watch a pure boxer and not just a slugger.
