How much credit would you give Floyd if he beat Pacquiao?

Partial, but still more credit than anyone from 154lbs down. If the fight would've happened right after Cotto or Clottey it would have been full credit.

 

Floyd was always above Pac then and now. If he beat him then my choice would not have been any different then what it would be now. Pac never beat him for the top spot so the percentile would go up very little in my book.

 

Floyd was easily number one and PAC was number two but called floyd out and wanted the throne

Not as much credit as he would have got if he fought him when in 2010, but still a good amount of credit.

 

The 2007 Manny would've gotten his ass beat worse than the present Manny by Floyd. He had basically the same fight game that he brought to the table in the first Marquez fight. Two jabs and a long straight left that took fighters by surprise because they didn't expect that left to reach them, but it did and it had power that either knocked them out or put them in enough trouble that Pac could finish them. JMM got wise to that **** and that's why he turned that first fight around. Manny improved a little bit from that fight to the Barrera fight but mostly he was still winning his fights by over powering his opponents. I said that to say this, The 2007 Floyd's ring IQ was miles ahead of all those guys and he was on his way up. He would have beat the **** out of Manny. Manny has a few more wrinkles in his game now and some boxing wisdom that makes him a little more dangerous for Floyd than back then. He still gonna get his ass kicked but not embarrassed.

 

Partial credit. Just not the same as taming Pac when he was on that historic roll in 2009-10. Still would be a great win that will elevate Floyd's atg status but just not the same as 2009-10.

 

I never thought Pac could beat Floyd. Never. I did think Floyd was a bit reluctant to risk his "0" at the peak of global *******ation, however.

And now that KTFO6 has come to pass, he would get no credit. None.

Full credit, the icing on the cake. It would remove any "future doubt".
Beating GGG or Martinez for a middleweight title, (even at a catchweight or 154lbs) would be the Cherry on the cake. (The Greatest of all time)

 

Depends on which Manny he faces. They should have fought years ago though, so it may be a case of which fighter has held onto their prime years better. Both have declined a little, so I'd give Floyd credit, but the win would not have the same weight as if he had beaten Pac 3 years ago.

Make no mistake, Mayweather will make such easy work of Pacquiao that he won't receive the credit he deserves. You can take that to the bank! :deal

Regardless of how much either has slipped, they're still 2 of the top 5-6 fighters in the world.
