Of course he could have got up-he wanted a way out and took it and the money at the same time.

It takes a special level of feather fist to sucker punch someone and they don't go down

    Floyds fists of stone (putty)

No, he got hit when he wasn't anticipating it right in the face. It doesn't take Earnie Shavers to knock you out in that scenario.

He was breaking down mentally though, that's why he used the head like he did. He was getting frustrated at landing less often than he was used to and at the use of the forearm to keep him off inside and lost the rag a little.

I'm sure he could have gotten up. I think the whole situation really fuked with his head though. He felt awful for headbutting floyd and I think realized how bad he looked at the time, hence all of the apologies. that right there changed the course of the fight. Had the fight went on I think Ortiz's aggression would have been gone possibly and ended up being a boring UD for Floyd. But the sucker punches obviously did damage to him and I'm sure he was shocked and shaken even more mentally. I don't think he figured " fuk this, i'm out of here" I think he was stunned and didn't know what to think or do.

Why does this even matter anymore. Ortiz had his shot and blew it. Good riddings.

It looked fixed as h*ll to me, although it makes no sense for it to be fixed.

He quit when he hit Floyd with that headbutt. He deserved that sucker punch.

He was buzzed big time - looking at Cortez (who ****ed up big time) whilst Floyd detonated his Money punch. I wouldnt say he quit - just tried to play dirty but couldnt handle it when Floyd played the same game.

    Chin got cracked.

I don't think he could've beaten the count to save his life.
