The more Froch acts like a ****, the bigger the rematch. Hearn doesn't care who the hero/villain is, so long as he has one of each to hype the fight. Some fighters talk **** to hype a fight, or to get under their opponent's skin, but Froch is a genuinely deluded ****.
Froch has only gotten so far because of his granite chin and recovery powers. If hed had a glass jaw he would have been found out years ago
I have said in the past froch is an insecure warrior. I can help but think the way things are going he's going to crack...
Adonis Stevenson calling out Froch last night...came out the blue that 1,i would love to see Frochs so called granite chin stand up to that left hand for 12 rounds!!!
You can't knock someone who fights like that- beating fighters who are better boxers than him. They all talk shite- look at groves. Groves should have trained harder instead of visiting his weird butcher in his orange jeans.
I watched most of the fight again last night with the sound turned down. I'm going to change my opinion slightly. The fight was much closer than I previously thought, and although Groves was rocked a bit earlier, the stoppage looked more premature than before. Froch proved his toughness and stamina that's for sure. I still think (my opinion) Froch would have stopped Groves between 9-12. Groves threw everything and Froch took it. Froch came back and Groves may not have. Froch I guess can take a big purse for fighting Chavez Jnr or have a huge rematch with Groves. He has options.
He does indeed. A big money rematch with Bute in Canada if Bute beats Pascal. In fact he may contractually HAVE to take this :good Adonis Stevenson wants a fight with Froch. GGG says he wants a fight with Froch (although I am not so sure he really does). Chavez Jnr in Mexico. These are all very big fights. Groves may well be twiddling his thumbs for sometime if waits. And there is always the Price vs Fury scenario where Groves fights someone else in the meantime and gets stopped again, making the fight much less appealing :yep
Its a shame that in one fight where he personally did nothing wrong can he make so many mistakes afterwards. Both himself and his coach have really upset a lot of people.
I am a bit worried about Froch, I hava always had a great deal of time for the lad.I personally think that you should never believe anything any boxer says in the build up to a fight........if I was trying to put bums on seats for big money I would say anything!!!In commentary Froch has always been sensible and spoken sense. In line with Mr Bunce I am perplexed about his post fight reaction which seems churlish,I hope he hasn't had one shot too many to the head?.....in all probability he is probably just setting the scene for a rematch,I hope....surely he and his advisors know it's the only game in town and I believe one he could win and then retire, honour restored. This shopping list of fighters he could meet frightens me one last fight please Carl!
I think its a bit daft when people say the only reason Froch is where he is is because of his chin, its like saying Ali only got where he did because of his speed. Of course a fighters strong points will make them what they are, added to the fact that Froch is about more than just a chin. There are plenty of guys out there with great chins that wouldnt achieve close to what Froch has. He just looks bad against the slick movers and more skilled fighters. I'm not a massive fan but the reality is Froch is a decent fighter. On another note he is defiantly doing himself no favors in the way he has handled the Groves issue, he has praised George but it does come across condescending, in the way he is saying George was saved, it not up to him to say that. He should also have said he would agree to the rematch immediately as the longer that goes on the worse it looks. If Carl goes another route he will not live it down, he might think he will and people will forget but to erase the stink of this whole situation and manage to avoid Grove he would have to beat all the other top players in the division and Ward. Dont see that happening. I go with rematch or retire.
He has the worst fundamentals and skill-set of ANY world champion that I have EVER seen. He's done well out of it, so I can't take that away from him. But he IS a poor Boxer.
