Who had better domestic boxing coverage this year? Sky or BoxNation? Or were they pretty even? Note that "domestic boxing" here includes both fights on British soil and also British fighters who travel abroad to challenge for a title or whatever. Note also that the question is only about quality of the fights; it's not about TV production quality or which commentators you like or dislike. The two biggest domestic events were, I think unquestionably, on Sky Sports: Carl Froch vs Mikkel Kessler no.2 Carl Froch v George Groves This isn't by any means a complete list, but Sky also had: Kiko Martinez vs Carl Frampton Adrien Broner vs Gavin Rees Tony Bellew v Isaac Chilemba Ricky Burns vs Jose Gonzalez Devon Alexander vs Lee Purdy Gennady Golovkin vs Matthew Macklin Daniel Geale v Darren Barker Ricky Burns vs Raymudo Beltran Kell Brook vs Vyacheslav Senchenko Adonis Stevenson vs Tony Bellew Darren Barker vs Felix Sturm (still to come) BoxNation have had: David Price vs Tony Thompson Chris van Heerden vs Matthew Hatton Nathan Cleverly vs Robin Krasniqi Liam Walsh vs Scott Harrison Amir Khan vs Julio Diaz Deontay Wilder vs Audley Harrison Sergio Martinez vs Martin Murray Frankie Gavin vs Denton Vassell David Price vs Tony Thompson no. 2 Dereck Chisora vs Malik Scott Nathan Cleverly vs Sergey Kovalev Ovill McKenzie vs Enzo Maccarinelli no. 2 Billy Joe Saunders vs John Ryder Dereck Chisora vs Edmund Gerber Carl Frampton vs Jeremy Parodi David Price vs Evgeny Orlov (still to come) Stuart Hall vs Vusi Malinga (still to come)
i won't count the froch fights cos they are box office if we are going off the other fights i would say around even
At least if you record fights on Sky you don't miss the main event due to the recording ending. BoxNation is still amateur hour.
Op is a bit biased he can remember some stinkers on boxnation while forgetting some great fights on sky. Derry coyle is one straight away
I prefer box nations coverage. Sky are far to biased. Sky will laways afford the biggest fights, money to burn.
